"Rogue!" You shouted through your small apartment, hoping your boyfriend would respond.

"Frosch and I are off now! We'll see you later." I call standing by the door waiting for an answer that never came.
"I love you" I say before shutting the door with a soft click behind me.

I waited a few minutes hoping to hear him say something back. I knew he was home, so why didn't he reply?

"(Y/n)?" Frosch's little voice piped up.
"Are we going into town?"

"Oh yeah. Sorry little buddy. Just couldn't remember if I forgot anything" I say picking her up and placing her on my shoulder.

The two of us then walked into the town centre ready to do our shopping. We picked up the groceries we needed, then I promised we'd go out for lunch and clothes shopping.

We found a small little cafe that looked almost empty and decided to go there. Just as we were about to find a table a large group of people called us over.

"(Y/n)! Frosch! Over here!"

"Erza! Lucy! Natsu! Gray! Happy! What are you guys doing here?" I say running over jumping into the arms of my waiting friends.

Since the whole eclipse disaster and the Games a year ago we've grown really close. They were part of my new family and I was so happy to see them.

"We took a job not to far from here and decided to come visit everyone. But Natsu here got hungry and insisted we stopped for lunch" Lucy told me before moving over so I could perch in the booth with them.

"Fro thinks so too" Frosch pipes up before flying down to sit with Happy.

"Then you have to join us! I insist!" Erza exclaims and I gratefully except their offer. Glad to be in the company of people who actually replied to me.

We spent hours in this small little cafe just laughing about past jobs, guild life and the latest romantic gossip.
"So (y/n) how's it going with Rogue? You've been together longer than we've known you" Gray asked, I swear that boy craves gossip more then the girls of the group.

My face fell instantly. Covering the ears of Frosch, who was currently sitting on my lap munching on a fish Happy gave her, I opened up to my friends.
"Not good. This past month we've been growing distant. He barely even touches me anymore. Our kisses feel more like he has to hold up appearances not that he wants to. And earlier when I left he didn't even reply when I said I loved him"

I didn't notice a tear had fallen from my eye until Frosch was forcing my hands of her ears and wiping the liquid from my eyes.
"Don't be sad. Fro wants you to be Happy"

"Thanks little buddy" I say hugging them tight.

"I'll hurt him for making you cry" Natsu growled his first starting to flame up. Thankfully Erza smacked him in the head telling him off for being insensitive.

"Don't worry about it Natsu. Maybe we've just run our course" I mumble, praying with all my heart that wasn't true. But all the fear that had been building these past weeks had finally broken free.
