BB : Finny x Reader

'Your Like a Rose'

About a year ago you were hired as a helping hand on the Phantomhive estate. Your job was to help Finny in the gardens. It was perfect considering you had fallen in love with the sweet green eyed blonde haired boy.

It was his adorable voice and kind heartedness that made you fall for him. He was so sweet to you instantly making you feel welcome and that you were someone special, not the poor orphan girl who had been to afraid to go outside. But now thanks to many hours of care and patience from Finny you could go outside. You could feel the wind through your hair and the sun on your cheeks. You could smell the sweet aromas of the outside world and experience all the colours of the rainbow. It was during this time you fell in love with him.

You were currently weeding the rose patch watching Finny feed the birds. He had a soft spot for any kind of animal and you loved how his eyes lit up when being around them. You had just one more weed to go when suddenly you heard Finny's voice behind you. You jumped a little stabbing your hand on a thorn. Hiding the injury from Finny your turned around and saw him outstretched on the grass soaking up the sun.

"Come join me" He smiled at you.

"I would love to but I can't. Unlike you its not my day off. But enjoy the sun, It's meant to rain later" I told him re-adjusting my hat and picking up the bucket full off weeds. I winced as I caught the area where I had just been stabbed. Looking down I noticed my once mud covered glove now were covered in blood.

Finny stood up and came over to me asking if I was alright.

"I'm fine really...." I began to say before he noticed the blood.

"No your not. Your bleeding. Oh ___ lets go get it cleaned up" He said guiding you into the kitchen. He sat you down on the bench by the table and got out the medical kit.

"You know you really don't have to do this. It's your day off I'm sure you'd rather spend it sun bathing than looking after me" You mumbled

"No. I like spending time with you. For whatever the reason. Although I'd prefer it if you weren't hurt" He admitted taking your glove off and gently pulling the thorn from your hand.

"Finny....can I ask you something?" You said suddenly

"Anything" he smiled wrapping a small bandage round your hand.

"Why are you being so nice to me? And not just with this, but with everything. Like when you helped me get over my fear of being outside. Anyone else would have just given up on me. But not you. Why?" You asked in a rush

He was quite for a little while as if he was contemplating how to answer that question. Eventually though he spoke "Because your like a Rose" he simply stated "You've got a defensive barrier put up because experience has told you to be cautious, yet once you prune away those barriers your left with nothing but a beautiful flower.....I saw that you were a rose the first time I saw you. I thought you were beautiful and I sensed you would love being outside. So I helped you. I helped you because I too know what it was like to be kept from the outside world. I hated it. I wanted to share the freedom I've found in the outside world with you, because I think I love you"

"You love me? Oh Finny you have no idea how long I've wanted to hear those words be uttered from your lips. I love your to. I've loved you since you took the time no one else would take with me. I love your childishly sweet nature and your smile." You told him.

He stood up and hugged me. Then he did something unexpected. He kissed you lightly on the lips. It was sweet and perfect. "Let's go outside, my sweet rose. I'll help you finish your chores then we can spend an afternoon in the sun" he smiled at you taking your hand.

We had finished the garden in record time and so we spent the rest of the afternoon hand in hand bathing in the sun watching the clouds go by. It was perfect.
