CHAPTER-1

Love isn't something you find you are something that love finds.

MIA'S POV

"God give me strength, give me power , give me grace and give me love so that I can always work hard and look ahead never be a coward but everyone's friend. "

I quickly prayed to god like always thanking him for such a beautiful life and headed back to the living room where my mom and dad were eating breakfast and laughing about god knows. The best thing about my parents was that it has been 20 years of their marriage but still they are like newlyweds , dad does his best to put a smile on moms face and mom also do everything possible to be the best wife . Sometimes I am very jealous of them as it is very difficult to find such a relation these days; but I really wish they always remain like this. Oh god I am already late for college, I forgot to set my alarm yesterday so that's why I am extra late today so without wasting any more time I grabbed my sandwich and ran towards the door to wear my shoes.

"Mia don't run just relax for a minute and bring your mind to peace " says my mom who is a yoga trainer she always gives me tips for not to be anxious but I don't know why her lessons don't work on me well god knows.

I think I don't have that relax gene anywhere in my system well what can we do now. Shoot I'm late ,when will I stop getting lost.

"Mia if you are already late why don't you just take a leave ?" my mom said in her as always calm voice

"mom I would love to do that but you know tia is finally going to propose Dylan today and being the bestie you know I have to support her " yes my bestfriend is finally going to propose her childhood crush Dylan and if I don't go today she is going to kill me , because if something goes wrong I have to be her shield .

I quickly said mom dad a quick goodbye ignoring my dads comment on how to drive safe , well actually he says this thing everyday when I go out since I got the car so I have actually learned it now so I went in the parking lot and turned to my beetle no my baby I know it's quite old but then I love it the most afterall I got it as a birthday gift on my seventeenth birthday, turning on the radio station , pressed the gas and we are ready to go.

I arrive at my college and parked my car in the parking lot and made my way towards the campus. It's flooded with students some are seeming like they'll eat their books the so called nerds, some are silent enjoying their view others are loud speakers like it's the end of the earth and then comes my group consisting of my four buddies Joseph the rock star , Damon the geek, sasha the queen bee and then Tyra the tom boy. I really thank god for such perfect friends they all are too good for me. I wave at them and ran towards them, I hug all of them

I am a literature student and in love with Shakespeare, Sylvia Plath, Virginia Woolf, mark twain. These people have inspired me to choose these subjects, I still remember how I used to spend hours and hours in the library sitting in a corner and falling in love with these writers and making my own world.

"Wait!!! Where is tia don't tell me she got angry and went on her own "I asked all of them with a shocked expression.

" don't you know mia she is not coming to the college today because her dad came back and they went for camping it was a snap decision you know how much tia loves her dad " oh yah how can I forgot tia's dad comes sometimes only in months home so its not good to steal their perfect time .

I was in my thoughts when Damon jerked me out of them

"So Mia have you seen the result of the scholarship test you gave" Damon asked me. Yes I gave a scholarship test which provided full scholarship to Asian students for studying in Korea and maybe we can work with some editing company and can gain some knowledge. It was a good opportunity and my dad says that always try your luck maybe one day you'll be lucky

"Oh no I completely forgot guys" I said thanking damon for reminding me for the result. My test went good is what I think now lets see what the result says.

"Oh fish Mia so what are we waiting let's go and see it" Joseph cheered up locking his arms with mine.

The one reason that makes me love my friends so much is that we all are never jealous of each other's achievement. They will always cheer you up which is very rarely seen in people nowadays.

We all went towards the notice board and there was a crowd of students hovering over it to check the results for the test I and Joseph finally managed to pass the crowd and we started checking the list hurriedly for my name.

Suddenly Joseph came and hugged me tightly

"Congratulations Mia my best girl you did it"

"What. What do you mean?"

I asked him not at all understanding about what he said.

"You are going to Korea" he said and started running in the corridor shouting the news like maniac.

I was beyond shock my body was not able to take up the given information. I ran back to the notice board pushing the students aside and looked for my name and finally I found it MIA TAYLOR.

Oh my god I can't believe me Mia the average girl is finally going to complete my dreams I think I am the happiest person right now on this earth I don't want anything from god now.

I also started screaming like a mad man and went to all my friends and hugged them and also decided to make a call to my parents

It's always said that it's all written in your destiny but you just need one step to reach at the top of the ladder and I think that I have found that one step and now I am not going to look back.
