"Hey Aunt Marie. Is grandpa grandma gonna be alright?" I cheered her up.

"I'm fine Stella thanks for asking. I just don't like to see my parents lying on the bed like this without saying anything." She said.

"I know and I feel down too. Don't worry Aunt Marie. They will make it through this time." I was determined to say that but will my words come true? That I don't know.

Once we finished our conversation, the three of us, Uncle Richard, Aunt Marie and I went to the canteen to have our lunch. We hadn't eaten since my grandparents got admitted to here.

The meal was reasonable, however, the taste wasn't delicious as this was the hospital. Strictly no unhealthy food.


As we were walking back to the ward, a sudden call from the doctor. When Aunt Marie picked up the call, the only words that the doctor was "Hurry and come up here. Your parents...". Before the doctor could finish speaking, the phone died.

Within a split second, we immediately took the lift and headed straight to the ward. But it was too late.

Before Aunt Marie could enter the ward, the doctor came out and shook his head without a smile but a sigh. 

That couldn't be true. They're still alive. I believed.

Aunt Marie both legs lost its energy to stand up, and her tears went streaming down her face.

Those were the very last time I was going to see them...
