Chapter 46

I had spent two days staying with Georgette and TJ and I felt better than I had done when I was staying with Ronnie. They had encouraged me to actually go out of the house instead of wasting my days listening to music and crying over old memories.

Craig was doing really well in his course and the staff had told us that he'd be out of there in no time if he kept progressing the way he did. I'd only spoke to him on the phone but I could hear in his voice that he was a lot better now and that he'd changed and we'd agreed to talk things through and hopefully move on from this once he was out.

Georgette and I had gone to the mall to do some last minute shopping for the baby. Before all of this kicked off, Craig and I had gone out and brought some things that we didn't get for Christmas for the baby but I wanted to buy some more clothes and Georgette had brought some nice smelliest for me too. However throughout the day I had a really painful, dull pain through my stomach. I didn't want to tell Georgette about it but I knew she had started to suspect something.

"Are you feeling okay?" She asked after we'd sat down at a Starbucks, thankfully the pain had mostly subsided so I managed to pull off a convincing smile.

"Yeah just the little one kicking the shit outta my insides."

Georgette laughed. "Well when we get back you can go to bed if you want?" She suggested sipping on her coffee.

I nodded. "Yeah. Considering Craig's doing really well I was thinking we could go and visit him before he comes out?"

"I think that's a wonderful idea, I'll get Teej to check what the rest of the guys are doing and we can all go!" She enthused which made me giggle. We carried on talking about random things until Georgette received texts from TJ asking where we were. "Well we better get going, Teej is hungry and it seems that he can't cook for himself and you've got to be aching?" She was right I was in a lot more pain than I usually was, probably because I'd spent the last week or so in bed not moving. We made our way to her car and loaded the bags into to back before heading back to the house.

TJ helped us bring the bags in from the car and into the house. I decided to skip dinner as the pain I experienced earlier came back with vengeance. I told the two of them that I was going to bed and managed to crawl up the stairs to my room where I managed to change out of my clothes and into my pajamas. I sunk into the bed and attempted to lie in a position where I didn't feel any pain before slipping into a distressful sleep.

I jolted awake with a sharp shooting pain in my abdomen which was way worse than the pain is experienced earlier that day and this time it was a lot more regular. I sat up and clutched my stomach and didn't dare move in a hope that the pain would subside if I stayed still. I checked my phone for the time '03:37' it read, I groaned and stood up slowly maybe going to the bathroom would help?

I stumbled forward but collapsed against the doorframe when the stabbing pain returned, I groaned loudly in pain not being able to make any words come out of my mouth, this seriously had to be one of the worse forms of pain I had ever experienced. I stumbled down the hallway leaning against the wall to keep me upright. Another sharp jab of pain ripped it's way through my abdomen causing me to yelp loudly and collapsed to the floor.

I heard a door being flung open and suddenly I was being surrounded by TJ and Georgette

"What's wrong?!" TJ exclaimed from beside be.

"I-I-I don't-t k-know-w." I stuttered, the pain being too much for me to talk without stuttering.

"Well let's get you up off the floor and back into bed." Georgette said whilst hooking her arm through my right whilst TJ took my left, they both managed to hoist me up but another wave of pain washed over me making me suck in a breath. The two of them walked me back to my room but just as we reached my doorway something that felt like water gushed down my legs making my eyes pop with alarm.

"I don't mean to alarm you both, but I think my waters broke." I told the two of them as calmly as possible.

"What?! Now? He can't come now!" TJ exclaimed.

"Well he obviously wants to come now." I seethed.

"I'll phone an ambulance!" Georgette exclaimed rushing off into the other room.

"Don't worry hun everything will be fine." TJ told me reassuringly rubbing my arm softly.

"I want Craig!" I cried as another shot of pain ripped through my body.

"I'll make sure he's here I promise you." TJ told me. "But right now you need to focus on delivering your son okay?" He told me kneeling in front of me looking me dead in the eye, I nodded and tried to control my breathing.

"The ambulance will be here as soon as! But we need to get some clothes packed for you and the baby." Georgette announced as she rushed back into the room. The two of them rushed about finding clothes for myself and some baby grows for the baby, whist I reached for my tote bag that was under my bed.

I heard Georgette mutter something to TJ but I couldn't make out what she said but he nodded and rushed out of the room, toward his bedroom. Georgette threw the stuff into the bag whilst I attempted to stop my tears and focus on my breathing. Why the hell did this have to happen now? Why not when Craig was back?!
