Chapter 39

As Gabby had gone up to her parents for Christmas she said that Craig and I could have Leila for the holidays, which I couldn't be more excited for. We'd all helped decorate the apartment with fairy lights, tinsel, holly and helped decorate the tree; we let Leila put the star at the top of the tree and decide where most of the decorations went.

We'd also baked Christmas cookies on Christmas Eve and after we'd made them, all three of us curled up on the couch together and ate them whilst watching Christmas movies. All of this buzz and Christmas cookie making made me really excited to have our child so that Craig and I could do this every year with him.

On Christmas morning, Leila ran and dived on our bed waking Craig and me up at 7 am on the dot excitedly yelling "Its Christmas! Wake up!" In our ears, I groaned and sat up pushing the hair of my face. I glanced over at Craig who was lent up against the headboard with a lazy smile on his face, he pulled me into his side and turned my head so I was facing him.

"Merry Christmas babe." He smiled pressing his lips to mine in a soft kiss.

"Merry Christmas," I murmured his lips on top of mine.

"Ew!" Leila exclaimed causing Craig and I to chuckle and pull apart. "Can we open the presents now?!" She asked giving Craig and myself a puppy dog pout that melted my heart.

"Go on then I guess." I smirked, she excitedly jumped off the bed and ran through to the living room as Craig helped me get out of bed and kept his arm around me and we walked into the living room where Leila was sat on the floor in front of the tree fetching out presents.

We spent a good 2 hours opening all the presents; I'd received a lot of new clothes and things for the baby from the FIR guys and my dad but I'd also been given stuff for me too like a new pair of converse from TJ and Georgette, a whole lot of new CD's from Kevin and Robert and Ronnie had gotten me the box sets of American Horror Story, The Walking Dead and NCIS: LA.

Leila was extremely happy with all of her gifts; she'd gotten so many new clothes and new video games I'd lost track.

"Hey Leila honey, why don't you go put all your presents in your room and get dressed before your nan, granddad, uncle, aunts and Ronnie gets here?" I said to her, she nodded and put all of her presents into a big box and slid the box through to her room. When she had left the room, Craig crawled from the spot next to me and to the tree where he pulled the last present, it was a small black box that he handed to me.

"Craig you shouldn't have!" I exclaimed.

"I wanted to babe I love you so much." I awed and kissed his lips lightly before opening the box revealing the most beautiful ring I had ever seen (up top)

"Craig this is beautiful! I love it so much babe!" I exclaimed wrapping my arms around him in a tight hug. I heard him chuckle as we pulled away, he placed the ring on my finger.

"It's a promise ring, this is my promise to you to always be faithful to you and to always be there for you whenever you need me."

I felt tears of happiness prick in the corners of my eyes; "I love you so much." I whispered before kissing him again. It was such a magical moment and one I defiantly wouldn't be forgetting for a long while.
