Chapter 31

8 weeks later

It was the morning of my first scan, I was so nervous for some reason. I had begun to form a slight bump but nothing really noticeable, however the morning sickness I had was really bad, literally every morning from when I woke up for about 3 hours I'd be repeatedly sick which was hell, I hated being sick!

Craig and I had told Leila that she was going to have a little step brother or sister and she was so excited, she kept talking to my stomach every time she saw me it was the cutest thing I've ever seen! She wanted to go shopping with me for clothes for the baby which I more than happily accepted.

"Babe you ready? We have to leave soon." Craig shouted up the stairs.

"I'm coming now!" I took one final look in the mirror happy with my appearance (at the top) before picking up my purse and heading down stairs where Craig and Ronnie were waiting for me, Craig grinned at me kissing me before we followed Ronnie out to his car. The journey to the hospital was silent apart from the radio.

We pulled up in the hospital parking lot and made our way to reception where Craig and I filled out some forms before we sat in the waiting room for a good 5 minutes before we were called to follow a doctor to her room.

"Hey there." She greeted us as we entered the room. "I'm Katie and I'll be with you throughout your pregnancy, you must be Amber?" She asked looking at me, I nodded.

"I am and this is the farther and my boyfriend Craig and my brother Ronnie." Katie shook Ronnie and Craig's hands before telling me to sit on the bed, Craig sat on the chair closest to the bed and Ronnie stood behind him.

"Right so I'm going to put this on your belly, it'll be cold so be prepared." She grinned before placing the jelly on my stomach; I sucked in a breath squeezing Craig's hand. She then got the wand thing that doctors and midwives use to do scans and rolled it over my stomach until she stopped and pointed up at a small blob on the screen.

"There is your baby." Katie smiled, I was so excited I squeezed Craig's hand and looked up at him; he wore the same smiling expression as me. Katie told us everything looked fine and that everything was moving along smoothly and I even got some medication to take for my morning sickness, which I was very thankful for.

"I can't wait till I can buy my nephew all the toys I can lay my hands on!" Ronnie exclaimed practically jumping up and down in his seat.

"And what makes you think you're having a nephew?" I questioned smiling slightly.

"Just a feeling." He shrugged causing me to smirk.

Ronnie dropped Craig off at his apartment as he had a band meeting later that day. When we got home, Ronnie physically made me lie on the couch and forced me to relax, he was worse than Craig with how overprotective he was, I appreciated it though because I knew I wouldn't be able to get through the next nine moths without either of them by my side. 

A/N: So Amber's first scan! What do you guys think she'll have? Boy? Or girl?
