Hey guys. How do you think I did with Wes' POV in the last chapter? Did I get his personality right? Did it sound enough like him? That is the main thing I am worried about is not portraying them properly... Anyway hope you enjoy this chapter. xox
-After the concert-
Summer's POV
"THAT WAS INSANE!" I didn't even realise I was yelling in his face until it occured to me how quiet it now was. When you're at a concert you kinda get used to yelling over the music just to be heard by the person next to you. I quickly covered my mouth in embarrassment because I sounded like an idiot yelling for no reason.
Wes just laughed at me. "YEAH I KNOW!" He yelled purposely back at me. I just punched him in the arm for making fun of me.
"Alright, well I better get back home. It's almost 10." My voice was now back to normal.
"Already? Can't we just hang for a little bit longer?" He gave me the cutest puppy dog face that I couldn't resist, and I think he knew that.
I gave in with a sigh. "Fine. What do you want to do?"
"I want you to come over and meet my friends." He gave me a shy smile as if he was nervous I would say no.
"Uh... I don't know... Let me just text my dad." I took out my phone and sent him a quick message.
'Hey dad. I'm going over to a friend's house. I'll be back later.'
I also sent Lauren a quick text just so she didn't think I was completely ditching her.
'Cute boy asked me to go over to his house. So... I'm gonna be over there. My dad just thinks they are a friend and probably thinks it is a girl so keep your mouth shut. Love you xox'
I turn to Wesley. "Lets go." His face nearly splits in half with his giant smile. He takes me by the hand and begins pulling me down the street as fast as he can run. I don't know how I can keep up, and why I haven't fallen over yet.
Wes' POV
I can't believe it. She actually said yes. I'm so happy. I can't wait to rub the fact that I know a hot chick like her and he doesn't. Oh, shit. I should probably slow down a bit before she face plants. I stop really quickly and she slams in to my back. Shit!
"Oh my god. I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" I have so much concern in my face it's not funny.
She just starts to laugh at me. "I'm fine Wesley. I'm tougher than you think I am." She gives me a playful wink. I smile cheekily back at her.
"So how much further till we get to your house?" She cocked her head to the side. God it is so cute when she does that.
"We just need to cross the road." I gave her a small smile before dragging her once again.
I knock on the door because it is locked and I don't have my key. "Coming!" I hear someone shout from inside. Thank god someone is home!
Drew opens up the door and gives me a smile, but surprised me was what Summer said. "Oh, hey Drew!" Wait! She already knows Drew?! "Oh, hey Summer! How's it hanging?"
This is weird. "How do you two know each other?"
"Oh, we met at the beach." Summer gives me an innocent smile.
"Yeah, she was staring at my killer abs." Drew gives her a playful wink. Ugh, can he back off? I called dibs.
"Oh shut up." Summer just rolls her eyes. God she looks hot when she is annoyed.
Drew opens the door up wider and stands to the side to let us in. Summer and I walk over to the couch and sit next to each other. Drew then shuts the door and sits on the other side of her.
"So how do you know Wes my dear lady?" I can tell Drew totally has intentions of flirting with her.
She giggled slightly "I ran him over on my skateboard, and we were both at the Sublime concert."
"Oh cool... Do you have a boyfriend?" Drew asks very flatly. I punch him in the arm for being so straight up. I was hoping that Summer didn't notice the punch but she did and let out a small giggle. I smiled slightly knowing I made her happy.
"No Drew. I do not have a boyfriend." She replies very plainly back.
Drew leans slightly closer to her and whispers, "Well, if you ever start looking; make sure I'm first in line." and gives her a wink.
I clench at the fact that Drew might get her and I wont. I really need to calm down. I excuse myself to go and get a drink of water. I go into the kitchen and do just that. When I come back out I see Summer lying on the floor in a laughing fit while Drew is tickling her. This made my blood boil. I didn't like him touching her. This girl is making me so jealous. I think Summer saw my face and decided to push Drew off. She looked at me as if she was sorry. I shouldn't be mad at anyone though, she's not mine, I wish she was though. There is something different about her. I like it.
Drew turns around and sees the look on my face and knows all too well what is going through my head at the moment. They both climbed to their feet and looked at me worriedly.
"I-I-I should uh, g-get going." Summer stammered. And I instantly felt bad. She didn't do anything wrong yet she thinks she is in trouble.
She grabs her phone from the coffee table and darts for the door, and runs out. Crap. She will never want to speak to me again.
I know, kind of short. I'm sorry. I got a bit stuck... But I hope you liked it anyway. Please, please, please comment. I want to know what is going on in those pretty little minds of yours. Don't forget to vote. Love you xox
