Soon after the conversation with her dad, April started to head back to the RV to find Sage however the girl suddenly appeared and was now running towards April with a huge grin on her face.

"April!" The girl exclaimed whilst looking at her.

April looked at her confused at why she was so happy. However, April was glad that her friend had a smile on her face even though she didn't know why.

"What? Did I miss something?" April told the smiling girl.

Sage rolled her eyes before linking one of her arms with the girl before they both started to make their way up to the lake.

"You nearly kissed Axel?!" Sage told her best friend.

"You did what?" Amy asked April with widen eyes. By now, the girls had reached the lake near the quarry to where Amy, Andrea, Carol and Jacqui were washing clothes.

"Wait you saw that?" April asked Sage as she sat down and began to clean her families clothes that Lori left in a basket for her. Both Lori and April had a rota in which they would clean the clothes or cook for their family.

"Yes. Now spill the details." Sage told her excitedly before sitting down next to her, Carol lightly laughing at her daughter.

April had looked around to see that all of the women were staring at her intently. All of them waiting for her to say something which had made April sigh.

"Fine, but don't tell my mom." April told them and they all nodded.

"Well, I think we were about to, we were both leaning in, so I guess he did want to, y'know? But of course my dad had to come and interrupt. But anyways, I don't think he's into me like that." April stated.

"Ugh, dads are the worst." Amy told her, which April laughed at.

"Honey, I'm sure he does see you like that. I don't think you notice it, but you should see the way he looks at you. He absolutely adores you." Carol told the girl which made her look down and blush.

"Wait really?" The girl questioned.

The group all nodded.

"You guys always awkwardly look away from each other. You act like lovesick teenagers." Andrea joked as the others laughed, making April blush even more, even though she was a teenager.
