It had now been a few days after the CDC incident and the group were currently headed off to the farm that Axel had spoken about which was just located outside of Atlanta.

Although Shane wasn't happy with the idea due to him agreeing that Fort Benning was the better option, the whole group decided the farm was the better choice.

Rick had managed to persuade Shane that it wouldn't hurt to settle at the farm for a few days since they could maybe stock up on ammo and essential supplies.

As well as this however, April had threatened her dad that she wasn't leaving Axel to go to the farm by himself, so Rick took it upon himself that travelling to the farm would be the final decision since he didn't want to face his daughter's wrath if he decided otherwise.

The group had all stopped off near a roadside and were preparing for the long drive ahead of them.
April herself was busy helping Axel fill up his bike's compartment with food and water since he would need it for the ride.

"You excited?" The girl told Axel as she filled the compartment with a water bottle before she closed it fully shut.

Axel looked up from what he was doing and smiled at the girl.
"Yeah, I haven't seen my family for ages. But I'm still nervous about what I'm gonna find." Axel told April, a slight grimace on his face. Axel was thrilled but scared at the same time. He was happy that he was finally able to travel back to his home, but he was scared as he didn't know what to expect when they reached there. What if he got there and found that his whole family had gone? Would they be dead or would they have gone some place safe? Perhaps they would of thought that he was dead and long gone too.

"Hey, everything will be fine, you'll see." April smiled at Axel, upon noticing his shift in behaviour.

Axel smiled gratefully at the girl before his expression changed into a smirk, he looked around the group for a second which had made April look at him in confusion to what he was doing.

But her question had been answered when Axel grabbed her hand and dragged her away from the group towards the back of an old truck.

"Axel, what are you-" April began to question out but gets cut off by Axel placing his lips onto the girls, making her shut up. April eyes widen at the sudden action but nevertheless makes her lips move alongside Axels and the two begin to entice in a long and meaningful kiss. The kiss begins to get a little heated so April breaks apart their lips so they both can catch their breaths.
