Chapter 15 : "It's ok. It's ok. Your Safe Now."
****I smelt a warm scent which was a musk, sweet scent. I wondered who was holding me, even though the logical thought would be Tyler.
"Are you ok? What happened?" Tyler's voice sent chills down my spine since as his voice was so close to me. I then felt a small, warm, breath over my neck as I slowly opened my eyes to Tyler hugging me. I looked at my hands and the pocketknife was gone, I guess I dropped it when Tyler hugged me or maybe he just took it out of my hands. I can't believe I was sobbing over Tyler's shoulder right now. I'm a loner, why would he even do this. Like, I was confused. Tyler raised his arm as he rubbed my back in circular motions, which I'm guessing is just a trick that's supposed to make someone feel better, hated to admit it, but it worked.
"It's ok. What happened?" Tyler asked. I was still in shock/worrisome when he asked me that question.
"I-I- I was b-b-being k-k-kidnapped. I-I ra-ran away."
"What did he look like?"
"He-It was dark. I think he h-h-had a - a unibrow, and brown hair. I couldn't see anything else."
There was a pause of silence until Tyler started talking again.
"It's ok. It's ok. Your safe now."
I didn't even know why Tyler was comforting me. He is supposed to be a player/jerk from school on the football team. Not a comforting person that is concerned about how someone feels. I felt safe in his arms. I felt like I didn't have to worry about getting hurt when I was in his arms. I guess I learned something, you can never judge a book by its cover.
