Chapter 35 : Stars from Above, & The Water from Below
****It's been a couple days in the hospital since I overdosed. It was already the last day, and you know what day that was? The day I had a date with Tyler. I was so excited, but so nervous. I was so worried that I'd most likely do something stupid. I knew he had sympathy for people like me, but sometimes, honestly, I felt like a charity case for Tyler.
I still needed to confront Tyler if it was really him who fought the intruder that night. I really spent most of my time in the hospital thinking about ways to ask Tyler about this. I was quite confused. I always asked myself, If that was him, why has he never told me? It just didn't make sense to me, for real, it was at a point that I even questioned myself if the man was even Tyler.
Besides me being confused like a deer in the headlights, I had a good time talking to Shannon. Avery did visit me on three different days to see how I was doing, but if your asking if I told her about the Tyler situation, me basically hanging out with him all the time, and the part of him sleeping over at my apartment, and well, same with me at his penthouse, then no, I didn't. Why? Well, I didn't really know. I just didn't feel like I wanted to talk about it, I never had experience with boys, I've never had someone to talk about it to, and I've never talked to anyone about boys, so it just felt awkward for me to do it.
_*_*_*_I was let out of the hospital at around 12 pm. I walked all the way to the apartment complex, which let me tell you, was really far away so it was a pain in the ass. Once I got to my apartment, I was already at my apartment looking for an outfit. I didn't know wether I should have went for a dress, skirt, jeans, or if I should of have went casual or elegant. I grabbed my phone from my nightstand and unplugged it from my charger. I decided to text Tyler to see what I should have worn.
Hey Tyler, just wanted to ask what I should wear tonight.
And instantly, he started to reply.
Hey Grace. You should probably wear something casual.
I was so happy I had to wear something comfy, because it would be too much to get ready to look very elegant and fancy. I started texting back.
Ok. Thanks.
After that, I already knew what I was going to wear. I took out my favourite pair of high waisted jeans, plad to tie around my waist, and a white t-shirt that fitted me very well. I did my makeup, just some mascara, bronzer, and some highlight, more on the natural spectrum. I left my hair natural as it is, but just added some texturizing spray, and decided to wear a pair of Nike runners.
_*_*_*_*_After 20 minutes, someone was knocking my door and instantly I knew who it was. Tyler. I ran to the door, giving one more last look at myself to see if I looked okay, which I did, and slowed myself down right at the door. I calmed myself down, grabbed my bag, and opened the door.
I felt the air sweep my hair back for a short moment when I swung the door open, as I tried not to collapse looking at Tyler, just kidding. I'm not saying he didn't look good, it's just that I could never collapse looking at someone because of how good they look. He was wearing a light blue shirt that I think was made of cotton, that was a quarter length shoulder sleeved shirt with a couple buttons that went down from the circle neckline. As usual, he was wearing adidas track pants as well.
He had big smile planted on his face which made me immediately smile like him. We started talking as I asked him a question.
"Tyler? Where are we going to go?"
"Well, I wanted it to be a surprise."
"Please tell me! I really want to know!"
"Grace, if I told you, would it be a surprise anymore?"
"No. Wait! Yes! Please! I get really antsy. I don't like surprises."
"Well, this night may change that."
"Ok, ok. Fine. You win."
And after I said he won, a grin formed on his face. Damn it. I hated it when he won.
_*_*_*_*_After an hour drive in one of his cars, we ended up in a forest. It was dark, and quiet. I was confused but u didn't ask Tyler any questions. We walked for 30 minutes, and I started to complain that my legs hurt, but Tyler remained calm. It was until Tyler stopped, I did too and finally shut my mouth. I looked around me, and then I looked up. It was so beautiful.
There were fireflies everywhere, and there was a huge bench with blankets. I noticed we were on a cliff as well, with lots of greenery. I started walking closer to the edge of the cliff, to see a huge beach. I could see the stars from above, and the water from below. It was just beautiful. I looked back at Tyler, as he was looking up at the stars too. It was pretty warm, so I wasn't cold. I hugged Tyler and thanked him for bringing me there. We were just laying on the grass as we stared into the stars.
"You wanna play a game?" Tyler asked me.
"Sure." I replied.
"Ok, so the game goes like this."
