Chapter 24 : "Meet Me On The a Roof After."
****Tyler's POV
"No! No one is here!! Stop looking!" I said as fast as I could to Jackson to stop him from finding Grace. He wouldn't stop. Dammit. Grace had to make a noise. Now Jackson was going to start looking for where she was, even though he still didn't know who it even was. He started to go in the bedroom and that's when I got a bit nervous. He went in the bathroom sweet first, which I turned around to Grace going to the window. Oh hell no, she wasn't going to jump, she would have died 100% for sure.
She started to crawl out of the window and I gave her a 'what are you doing' look. She jumped to the side of the window. As soon as she did that, I ran to the window. I looked out, and somehow, Grace was climbing some random ladder that I've never seen before, which was cool and weird at the same time. She put her finger over her lips and shushed me. She continued to climb the ladder up to God knows where. "Meet me on the roof after." Grace said to me shushing me. "Tyler? Why are you looking through the the window? You know your so weird." Jackson did which startled me. I then closed the window and nodded. "Let's head off to school." Jackson told me. I had to think of something to say.
"Ummm. It's ok. I still need to get ready."
"Are you sure?"
"Yah."
"Tyler. You've been acting weird this morning."
"No. I haven't. No goodbye!" I said quickly to Jackson leading him to the door. He slipped on his shoes and I kind of kicked him out. I waited 30 seconds to make sure the coast was clear, and then found a staircase that leaded to the roof.
Once I got to the roof, I stopped. It was an amazing view. You could see the sunrise in the morning and you could also feel the fresh breeze. I looked around, and then I saw Grace. She was sitting on some metal box that was like an air vent or something, I don't even know. She was moving her legs back and forth, swinging them. I started to walk up to her, and took a seat beside there. It was silent, just me and her. I don't even know her that much, well, I kind of do, but j didn't know her as a normal teenager, if that even made sense. We just started at the sunrise, enjoying the time together. I felt quite happy that I met her, she gave me new insights and opportunities. I learned from her, that even though things can be rough, you can't be self-centred, you must carry on, because life has a lot of exiting things to explore. Man. I sounded like a girl now. Literally.
I looked over to Grace. Her skin was glowing, and her hair was blowing in the wind. I then looked down and saw her hand laying on the 'metal box' thing beside me, and I decided to do something I wouldn't normally do. I moved my hand slowly over to Grace's. I moved my hand over her's, and she didn't move her hand. She just turned her hand over and held onto my mine. Our fingers intertwined, and something felt special and different about it. Grace was special and different. She wasn't like the others. She wasn't superficial, she didn't just want to go to bed with me right after meeting me, which made me feel good. All girls just wanted to talk to me because of my looks, most girls were shallow in my school. We continued to just stare at the sunrise and the clouds, until there was no time left that we had to go to school.
