There was a knock on the door. I wiped the tears off my face and repositioned the papers that I was working on so that they couldn't see how red my eyes were.

"Come in."

Izumo Kamizuki stuck his head in, "I was told to inform you that the Sixth Hokage is having a meeting at nine with all of the heads of each unit."

I nodded, "I'll be there."

"Okay then, I'd better go and let Ibiki know..." With that he shivered and then shut the door behind him.

I put my face in my hands, there was no avoiding Kakashi now.

A full ten minutes before nine, I was out of my office carrying a small bundle of papers in my arms and making my way to the Hokage's office. I hate being late so even if it meant that I had to spend this time alone with Kakashi in his office, I wasn't go break my prefect record of punctuality.

I knocked on the door and received a lazy "come in" in response.

When I walked in, Kakashi was sitting in the light purple chair behind the Hokage's desk that Lady Tsunade had occupied for years now. There was a blue-green book in his hands, Icha Icha Tactics. So he'd become a pervert too, great.

Kakashi glanced at the clock, "Aren't you a little bit early?"

"I hate being late."

He shrugged and then his face lit up in recognition, "You're the person that I ran into this morning. Sorry again for that." He stood up and made his way over to me and stuck out hand, "Here, let me introduce myself for real this time. I'm Kakashi Hatake, it's a pleasure to meet you."

I looked at his out-stretched hand and kept mine firmly in my pocket and wrapped around my paperwork. "I know who you are, Kakashi. I'm Kaiyo Nakahara, and it's really not a pleasure seeing you again."

He froze. "Ka-Kaiyo? Is that really you? I knew a Kaiyo Kimura, but not a Kaiyo Nakahara..."

"Nakahara is the last name of my late husband."

He gulped an nodded, his whole body shaking with shock. "It's been twenty-five years... I'm so sorry for what I said all-"

"Save it for someone who cares." He nodded slightly. "I'm just here to do my job, nothing more."

"I understand why you'd still hate me after all this time."

"I'm glad to hear that; that way I don't have to explain myself to you." I turned around and plopped into seat farthest away from Kakashi as he slowly made it back to his chair, tripping on the corner of his desk along the way.
