Chapter 6

My jaw dropped. I couldn't believe he had showed up. I was having such a good time I actually managed to forget about him. I had also forgot that he was mates with Joey. Joey was nothing like Finnley. He was kind and actually talked to you because he wanted to.

I could sense that the girls were watching me so I tried to make it look like it wasn't bothering me, but it was.

The window was slightly open so we could hear their conversation when they weren't shouting at each other. I could see Joey and Finnley by the conservatory door. They looked like they were being really serious. Then the worst thing ever happened!

Joey looked straight at us. We ducked as quick as we could but I think it was too late. We just sat there on the floor giggling for ages before Rochelle's phone started ringing.

"Damn it! It's Joey. What shall I do?" we all looked at each other wondering if we should answer or not. We thought we'd be brave and try and bluff our way through it... How wrong could we be?

"Hey Joey what's up?" Rochelle answered trying to sound laid back and cool.

"Just wondering what you were up to. Was thinking you girls could come around and join us seen as you look pretty keen to be watching us"

SUGAR!!!!! What were we supposed to do now? I decided to be brave and stand up at the window. I think our plan of hiding didn't fool him. He was still looking at the window so I gave him a cheery wave.

"So you guys coming down or what?" I looked down at the others who for some reason were still on the floor.

"It could be fun. What have we got too lose?" Stacey was certainly up for a laugh and I think we needed it. I turned back to the window and signalled to Joey to give us a minute. I was well up for a party with the lads but was not looking forward to having to see Finnley.

We decided to make a bit of an effort to go over so we put on some make-up and styled our hair. I'm not really good at doing different styles so the girls did my hair for me. They gave me a side parting and side fringe and straightened my fringe. With the rest of my hair, they added curls all over. It looked really pretty and I was extremely pleased with it. I changed into some fancier clothes seen as I was wearing pyjamas. Withing five minutes we were ready to go over, but not before I had a quick shot of vodka to steady the nerves. I sat down on the sofa and put on my black three inch heels. They really suited the outfit I was wearing, a knee length, black, strapless dress with a black belt included.

We headed out the back door and waited in Rochelle's back garden whilst she locked the door. She placed the key into her bag and picked out her lip-gloss.

"What?" we all looked at her as she was applying a coat onto her lips.

"Oh nothing" I said whilst giggling along with the others.

We took the extremely quick walk, all of about 10 metres, to Joey's house. We all froze at the gate. Stacey and me pushed Michelle to the front for her to walk in first. We finally got the courage to go in after Michelle knocked on the gate to let them know we were there. We walked in slowly and saw the guys at the end of the garden having a few beers.

"Hey girls. Glad you could finally join us" Joey welcomed us with a glint in his eyes.

"Well we thought the party needed some extra oomph" I replied in the same way he spoke to us. It felt like this could be a good party after all.

"Yeah course it does" he said with a smirk on his face. "Drink?" I nodded and he escorted the others and me to the table they had at the bottom of the garden.

I picked up a bottle of Smirnoff ice. I don't know why they had it because it's mainly a girls drink in my opinion. The bottle opener appeared in front of me. I looked up from the bottle with a smile on my face to thank them but it soon disappeared when I realised whom it was.
