"Mum could you take me up to the O'Leary's in a bit." I shouted to mum as I stepped in through the door.
"Yeah sure I will. Why you going up there?"
I entered the kitchen and found mum sitting at the breakfast bar having a coffee. "The guys just asked me if I wanted to go up there and just hang out for a while."
"Yeah that's fine Roxy just give us a shout when you want to go."
"OK thanks mum." I went straight up to my room and chucked my bag under my desk. I turned around and walked towards my cupboard. I opened up the two white doors and I was faced with a decision. What to wear? Keep it simple Roxanne.
I decided on my black skinny jeans and purple checked shirt. My hair looked pretty good so I left it alone.
I grabbed my phone and text Darryl before I slipped it into my jeans pocket and left my room.
"Mum I'm ready."
"OK come on then." mum locked the house behind her and we both got in the car. "What time am I picking you up? No rush just so I know roughly."
"Urm I don't know I'll have to give you a ring."
We were soon at the O'Leary's and entering the driveway. I got out of the car and waved mum off. I turned to walk to the house and I could see Darryl standing in the door-way.
"Well fancy seeing you here." he said keeping a straight face on but I could hear in his voice he was only messing.
"What are the chances that I come across your house of all people's." he looked down at the ground with a small smirk playing at the courners of his mouth.
"You might as well come in then." he moved to the side inviting me in.
I walked into the hallway to be greeted by wooden floors and oak beams. Light poured in through from a room ahead of us. Darryl shut the door behind us and placed his hand on my lower back urging me to walk forwards.
I walked into the room that was pouring light into the hallway and was taken aback. I was mesmerised. It was beautiful.
"Wow." I breathlessly whispered.
"You like?"
"It's awesome Darryl. I don't think I've ever seen anything more beautiful. I walked closer to the glass doors and looked out at the amazing view. I could sense that Darryl was behind me but I couldn't take my eyes off the view. The french doors opened out onto a patio but they looked down into the valley. You could see loads from up here. You could just about see my house peeking through the trees.
"Thought you would like it. Wanna sit?" I managed to prise my eyes from the view and found Darryl pointing towards the long sofa facing the doors. I nodded and hobbled to the sofa. I sunk into the soft cushions and was surprised by how low down the sofa actually was. "Wanna watch a film? We've got a selection."
I looked over at the dvd rack. He was right, they did have a collection. However, one caught my eye straight away.
"Is that yours?" I pointed to the dvd that caught my attention.
I could hear him chuckling. "No it's mum's but I quite like it. Why you not a fan of it?"
"No I love it, it's my favourite film just didn't think it would be your style."
