---NEXT WEEK---

Hey, guess what? I'm sick. Yeah, Justin gave me a cold from that little - or should I say big - waterfight last week. I don't get how someone could get a cold in the SUMMER. So now I'm in Becca's room, snuggling into my oversized Canarelli Highschool sweater. I don't really know what I'm gonna do to get back at Justin. But, we're gonna roast marshmellows later; many possible oppurtunities during that.

Becca: "Hey Mels, mom said we can take a break off the coop. Just for today since you're sick." I nod and plop down onto her bed. Me: "What should I do to get Justin back for making me sick?" She shrugged. Becca: "Just don't get caught by mom. She hates pranks." I nod, even though I wasn't paying attention. I was too busy watching my man. That's right. Spongebob. [xD] Sara: "Melani! Becca! Come downstairs." Becca: "Alright mom!" She shuts off the tv and we go downstairs. Everyone was dressed in swimwear. Sara: "We're going to the waterfall. Wanna come?" Becca nodded and raced upstairs to change. Sara: "Do you wanna come, Melani?" I sniffle. Me: "Sure." I croaked. Justin cracked up and I shoot a glare at him. Becca: "Alright let's go!" She ran out the door, not waiting for any of us. We all followed behind. I sat on the dock, watching them swim happily. I stared down at my reflection. The reflection somehow morphed into the picture frame. Ugh. Why can't I get that outta my head?! The image shimmered away as someone splashed the water. "Hey Lani." I grumble and look up. Me: "Go away Justin." Justin: "Why? You mad 'cause little Lani Wani got a cold?" He pouted his lip, mocking me. Me: "Shut up!" I threw a flip flop at him. He threw it back, missing my head by an inch. Me: "You're lucky that didn't hit me." He smirked. Justin: "And what would've happened if it did? You would come in and.. What?" I grumble and cross my arms. Justin: "Thought so." and with that, he swam away. Oh I am sooo gonna get him. But when? I thought of something but it wasn't nearly as good as his prank. But it was still something. I sighed. Summer seems so long, and I have to spend it with Beaver. It's only been two weeks since we came here, and so far nothing has gotten better between me and Justin.

---LATER---

I cuddled into my oversize Canarelli High sweater, watching as the bonfire crackled. Like my heart. I missed my Dad, that's no secret. Becca leaned over and whispered something. Becca: "Justin told me that he's gonna prank you again tonight. Better get him back fast." I nodded and leaped up and looked over at Justin, who was roasting smores. I acted innocent as ever, sitting down next to him, he just flashed me a smile and continued on his epic fail called a smore. He reached for the marshmellow fluff, but I got it first. Me: "Oh! Want some?" I asked overly-nice, he nodded. I grabbed the marshmellow fluff with my hand and smiled, then, I rubbed it all over his face. Me: "That's for the sharpie." I whispered into his ear while tracing my finger along his cheek, grabbing some marshmellow fluff on my finger. I licked it off. Becca sat there, laughing. Alex and the Bieber kids were laughing, too. Hell, everyone around the fire was laughing, including Justin. Well, it wasn't much of a revenge but at least we all got a laugh. I went back upstairs when I was stuffed with smores. Justin: "You know, marshmellow fluff tastes better on smores." He said, coming out of the bathroom. I looked up and saw his brown eyes bore into mine. I had to stiffle my giggle, because I was still angry at him for doing all those things to me. Justin: "But, the way you licked your finger was actually really hot." I rolled my eyes and threw a pillow at him. Justin: "What? So, I actually call you something other than ugly for once and all I get is a pillow thrown at me. Gee thanks." Me: "Yeah. That's the thing. You called me something other than ugly, so you're lying." Justin: "You don't know that." Me: "Actually, I do." He smirked. Justin: "And how is that?" I roll my eyes. Me: "I can read minds." I say, moving my arms in weird gestures. He laughs. Justin: "You know, your not so bad, Lani Summers." Me: "You aren't either, Justin Beaver. Maybe, in another world, I'd actually call you one of my friends."
