I was always moving, countries, towns. I was born in a small town of forks, Washington. I lived there until I was about five. My dad's family still lived, well what is left of it. But now I live in the uk , recently I had moved to a small rural town in Scotland called Blair Atholl. It's beautiful , covered in lush forest-with every shade of green you can imagine. Streams and rivers trickling through the earth, dividing up the forest floor.

This is a pretty ordinary life for a pretty ordinary girl. However I wasn't ... Well, not since I turned fifteen. I couldn't explain it, it happened all so fast. My life changed forever, in ways I wouldn't expect it would. Was it real? Or was it a dream I was trapped in for eternity.

What was happening? I thought to myself as my mum took me out of school. I had fever-like symptoms - burning up at a high temperature. It was different to any fever or illness I've ever had.

Words could not describe what I was going through, it felt like I'd stood next to the sun and if anyone would annoy me I was going to explode.

I had recently been my fifteenth birthday and it was the first week of school since we came back from the Christmas holidays. And I had already got into a fight, but I was a good student. The anger had come out of nowhere, I didn't know why I got into a fight with Emma-she was the prettiest girl in school-pretty obnoxious. The anger boiled up inside of me and then I erupted. I threw one hard punch, hard enough to knock her out. No one could believe it, I was normally very calm and would never do a thing like that.

As I shuffled into my mums Citroën DS5, she sat there in silence, still as a statue. We were half way home; the journey had been awkwardly silent, when I found my voice to speak."I'm sorry," I mumbled "I don't know what happened. I know your disappointed-"

"I'm not disappointed, I'm just worried, it's not like you to get into a fight," she said wearily staring at me for a minute, then focused on the country lane ahead. I never answered, I just carried on staring into the dense forest, that covered each side of the road. It wasn't like myself to get into fights, I thought. What was with me?

When we arrived home I headed upstairs when my mum called up at me "Amelia can we talk for a moment?" she whispered, even thought we were the only two people in the house.

"Ok?"

We moved to the livingroom and sat down on the on sofa.

She hesitated.

It was like she was trying to find the right words to say. I looked at her suspiciously.

When she finally spoke, " There is something that is different about you and I didn't realise what it was until you got sent home-"

" mum just spit it out!" I shouted.

Where had that come from? She never even flinched.

" Your grandfather, my father was a...well how should I say this, he could transform into a wolf and he was alpha of the pack. so this means, well so can you or will be able to."

"wolf..." I choked, my grandad that lived in the north of England for so many years is or was part wolf and was the alpha or leader of the pack.

"It must of skipped a generation- " I cut her off I knew where this was heading.

" so does this mean that I'm..." she nodded with reassurance.

I gasped.

Was I the only one freaking out? Millions of questions were spiraling through my mind. I ran upstairs in disbelief. "Amelia, wait..." I wasn't listening, I stormed into my bedroom and locked the door behind me.

I froze infront of the mirror.

There was something different about me. I had changed. I was a few inches taller. My eyes were a chocolate brown colour, so was my hair. Thick, tight curls cascaded down my back. My hair was usually wavy. Strange. My lip were thick, plumper. Light crimson colour. I was slimmer like I had been on a diet for months.

I had to see if I could phase, so I unlocked my door and ran downstairs. My mother hovered in the kitchen, cooking with her back to me. She didn't seem to notice as I snook out the front door.

As soon as I was out, I ran to the east, the direction of the forests. So nobody would notice. I was gaining speed, I leap about 6 foot in the air and landed on four paws. As I looked down on myself I could see that on all fours I was taller than a person. My fur seemed to be gleaming White, it was that bright it seemed to glow! I wanted to see what I was capable of so I started to run, it wasn't how I would of expected it. The forest was a blur as I ran past it, it was as clear as if I was stood still. I was getting further into the forest, I had to stop before somebody- a hiker, perhaps-noticed me. But how would I phase back?

I began to shake.

As soon a I knew it I was on two feet, fully dressed with the same clothes on as before.

Weird.

I thought they would of torn away. I walked up to the house and found Mike's car out front - great my father was back! And he brought back Matty - my annoying younger brother- from school with him. How was I going tell them that I was part wolf or werewolf? Or did they know?
