9. Confrontation

We arrived at Jake's house and went straight to his shed. Tools and different car parts lay around the shed. In the middle was a covered car. " what's under the-" I asked

" you saw that." Jake interrupted.

" well it's pretty hard not too"

He lifted up the cover and an early sixties or late fifties chevy pick up truck was there. Whoa. Before I could comment a low and tuneful whistle came from the distance, in the direction of the forest. Jake and Seth seem to walk outside and waited, curiously I followed. Then I realised why they did it. From the trees walked seven bear-chested boys and and one girl with cropped black hair. She looked a lot like Seth. As we met in the middle Seth introduced us, starting from the left. "This is Collin , Brady, Jared, Sam, Paul, Quil, Embry and my sister Leah. "

" hey" I said warmly. When Leah erupted out of nowhere "stay away from my brother,"

"what?" I asked confused. What was she going on about?

" leave it Leah." Sam warned. But she didn't. " I don't want you or bloodsucking family anywhere near Seth, your a bad influence on him."

I'd been here for five minutes and I'm already getting into a fight.

Great!

But the worst of it was, was that I had no idea of what I had done to upset her.

" I, neither my family are the problem. Leah I think it's your insecure self, I have been in this town for a couple of days, so how could I have had an influence on him? " I said, my voice getting angry. All the boys in the background started sniggering, even Seth. But that set her off, her fist was already at my nose, but all I heard was one loud crack. Crap. A broken nose.

she stood there grinning, my fist were ready to strike when Jake grabbed my arm and was taking me in the opposite direction.

" save it she's not worth it." Jake muttered.

" were are we going?"

" taking you to Carlisle before you nose sets in the wrong place." Jake explained. Seth caught us up. However he never said anything, he just looked at me in a sorrowful stare, like it was his fault that she punched me.

The pain stopped when we got to the Cullens.

"What happened?" Bella said as she walked through the door.

" Leah punched her." Carlisle explained very calmly as he examined my nose.

" I can't believe she did this, I'm going over there to talk to her."

"Please Bella, leave it." I pleaded.

"There's some bad news,"Carlisle interrupted " your nose has set in the wrong place. This means you'll have to break it again to set it right."

"so who's breaking it this time?" I said jokingly.

" I'll do it properly" Emmett boomed coming down the stairs.

He took a step in front of me with his fists up. I gulped. Was he messing? " ready? " he said enthusiastically.

I nodded nervously.

But within seconds it was over.

I realised it was over when the pain welled through my nose. Carlise's hands were already holding my nose in place before it could set wrong, again. Everybody was stood over me like vultures. After about ten minutes Carlisle released his hands from my nose. " Leave it for a couple hours and it will be fine." Carlisle smiled kindly.

" Thanks Carlisle," I murmured.

He smiled gentle towards me. After that everybody seem to go back to what they where doing. Emmett, Carlisle and Jasper went to go sit and watch the game. Bella and Edward went to sit on the sofa both looking into each others eyes and talking to each other, whilst also watching Renesmee play with Jacob. Esme and Rosalie where tiding up. Alice was reading one of the hundreds of the books the Cullens owned. But Seth just seem to lean against the glass window, expressionless, staring into space. What was up with him?

I ignored him and walked to Alice in the other room. Her eyes lifted as I walked in. "Hey Alice, could I talk to you outside for a mintue." I whispered. I knew they would be listening. Her face looked concerned, she followed me out the door, I stopped just before the woods started. " correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Bella and Edwards anniversary in two days?" I asked.

Her faced turned into to a big smile. " yes!" she said her eyes sparkling.

" so, I was wondering what they did on there first date." I asked curiously. Her smiled widened.

"They played baseball. I was hoping you would say that, we planned it all."

"Alice, how did you-"

" I can see the future, remember. But don't worry we'll give you the credit, seeing how it was your idea."

I was speechless " Thanks Alice, and Bella and Edward doesn't know about this."

" I'm sure,"

So that was that, I planned a baseball match between vampires and giant wolves. It was great to have a cousin-in law who cold see into the future, it made things easier.
