20. Retrieve

"So where is my brother?" I snapped.

"Well, you see he isn't here," the vampire with the familiar voice chuckled.

"What? Wait, who are you?"

"Oh forgive me." he calmly said,"I am Aro . As I was saying your brother was never here, it was just a trick to bring you here."

The explanation just couldn't sink in, and I couldn't control myself I ran towards him ready to lash out, when it felt like I had hit a brick wall and I was being suffocated. All I could hear was the distressing sound of my brother being restrained by one of the voulturi guards. Suddenly a large creaking sound came from the massive solid oak doors.

"Jane." Aro calmly commanded, ordering her to stop. Meanwhile I was concentrating on how to breath than looking who had just came in.

"Ah, Bella, Edward and dear Renesmee. I see you brought some friends." Aro addressed them. I started to have the strength to stand up,the first person's face I saw was Seth but I could look him in the eye. I turned round, hobbling back in line with Bella and Edward. "I didn't mean any harm, I just wanted to get your attention because I heard of the extraordinary powers that you hold." Aro explained. However that was enough for Seth to get worked up; he lunged towards Aro. Unfortunately Felix stood straight in front of Aro and hurdled Seth's human body into a large marble column. All I could hear was a voluminous crack, which I couldn't tell whether it came from Seth or from the column. He managed to knock a piece out of it because of the velocity of which Felix threw him at it. I rushed over to him and cradled him in my arms, he reached for my cheek. A tear dripped down my cheek and I whispered "I'm sorry." Suddenly the large marble column started to fall over us. "Someone grab Seth " I commanded. All three boys ran over and took him. While I prevented the column from falling with my powers . They took him outside, meanwhile there was just me , Ness, Bella and Leah. "Truly extraordinary." Aro said like he was lost for words.

"For a werewolf, this is too dangerous, she could be a threat to our kind." A vampire with ice blond hair, sat beside Aro said.

" Caius, she is a shapeshifter like the wolves you encountered when you thought Renesmee was a threat." Bella corrected.

"Think of what an edition to our kind she would be." Aro pondered to himself.

" This was nice to see you all again but we must leave." Bella explained, trying to change the conversation.

"Okay, do come back soon." Aro said calmly. " Amelia, please consider my offer." He called after me. But I didn't look back.

We walked through the long and narrow corridor, when I came to Seth, who was getting bandaged up by Edward. I sat down next to him, whilst we waited for Edward to bring the car closer to the clock tower. "I'm so sorry, I wished that non of this would of happened." I sobbed.

" The only thing that matters is that your ok." He panted.

" the car's here but only four can fit four in it," Bella interrupted.

" why doesn't Jacob take Nessie?" Edward suggested.

" Yeah, you go with Seth, Amelia, we'll figure something out." Leah said.

I nodded. Jake and Edward carefully lifted Seth into he car and I sat next to him in the back. The journey to airport was silent but I knew I had to break it. But something did it before me, I looked over to Seth and realise he was really still and hadn't moved. " Seth ? Seth? " I called out to him, however he never responded. " he's not breathing," I squealed.

" calm down," Bella reassured me. " This is Carlisle car, surely he has medical supplies."

" Look in the glove compartment." Edward replied, Bella frantically searched, she had found it in an instant. " Grab that silver syringe and pass it to Amelia." Edward directed.

" what's in it." I said taking the syringe off Bella .

" adrenaline." Edward informed me. " Ok, Amelia what you need to do is inject it into his heart to get it started. But mind the bottom ribs most are fractured." He directed me.

I took my seat belt off and scrambled over the seats onto Seth's lap. I took his top off and scanned for his heart until I found a slight beat but not enough to keep him alive. I jabbed the needle into his chest and once administered, removed it and gave it back to Bella. After about a minute nothing happened, I started to panic," what do I do, nothing is happening?"

"Try CPR ." Edward calmly suggested. So I pushed hard and fast on his chest and after about thirty seconds he started to breathe again. I slid back off his lap and onto the seat in relief.
