Part 3 - Rae

*Friday*

The school had finished and now it was time to go to the diner with everyone before the dance, every Friday we went to the diner so it was tradition to do so now. It was also time for me to tell James I wanted to break up, I couldn't be seen at the dance with another guy when I was with James but if I was single it wouldn't surprise people I with another guy considering I'm cheer captain so once the word gets out more guys would talk to me and try their way.

We arrived at the diner and made out way into the table at the back, it was a circular table where I had to sit next to James with made things more awkward. The menus were on the table so we scanned through then deciding what we wanted.

'Can I get you any drinks?' I heard a muscling voice say as I looked up seeing Niall

'Look who it is' James said as I liked down again embarrassed by his behaviour

'I want a water' crystal said bluntly giving Niall an a hard glance

'Would that be normal or sparking or flavoured?' He replied with a fake smile even though I could tell he was the least bit impressed we were in here or had to serve us

'Im a cheerleader what do you think? I don't get this body from drinking sparking or flavoured water' and now this is what I have to put up with daily, their rude and ignorant, they have no respect for anyone but their friends an I can't stand it.

'So a tap water anything else?' Niall asked still with a smile

'Can we get two lattes please?' Tilly asked Niall with a smile being generally polite to someone unlike the rest of our group

'Sure, is that everything?' He asked earning a nod of Tilly and I signalling for him to go which he did once he received our nod.

'Ern James we need to talk' I blurted out as he put his arm around me, he gave me a look for me meaning to go 'Erm in private would be a better place'

'Why anything you say to me these guys will know so you can say it In front of everyone' he removed his arm knowing this probably wouldn't be a good talk. I took a deep breath knowing every one of our groups eyes were on me right now

'I think we need to break up' I muttered hearing a few gasps and 'what' I stayed silent waiting for James reaction

'Erm what!' He said slightly louder

'We can still be fri-'

'Do not say the words friends Rae! I'm going to over look this insanity of yours knowing you're not thinking straight and I will see you at the dance tonight' he replied as he sent me a glare 'come on boys' him and the boys stood up and walked out of the shop not bothering to look at me at all they just gave me harsh expressions knowing I was completely stupid but somehow I didn't think I was.

The girls followed them out all except Tilly as she stayed with me sending me a reassuring smile whilst Niall gave us out lattes and took back the water

'There's someone else isn't there?' Tilly questioned knowing me all too well

'Yeah I guess there is' I smiled just thinking about him and how I would be knowing who he was tonight

'Who is it?' She questioned which made me realise how stupid I was about to sound right now

'I don't know, I've been talking to him a lot but I'm meeting him tonight at the dance, it's been on the thing school set up for people who are going to the same college, we speak everyday and well he's just such a good guy' I smiled at her as she gave me a small smile back
