Battle To The Death!

I awoke at my normal time and headed downstairs. The same aroma of freshly baked food filled the room.

I walked into the large dinning room area and sat at the head of the glass table. Ellie and Lila were sitting next to each other of course and acted casually.

Who would have known?

I ate my food silently, not greeting anyone and just replayed the thought over and over again in my head. I was just shocked and I desperately wanted to say something. I needed to tell someone.

"Zara? You are awfully quiet, is everything alright?" Ellie questioned before putting a piece of food into her mouth.

I smiled up at the beautiful girl, not wanting to concern her. "I am alright, just a little tired is all."

She smiles and continues to talk to Lila.

Ellie's P. O. V.

I could not help but think of last night's beautiful altercation.

I took her hand underneath the table and continued to think about last nights fun. Lila and I have been courted for a month without anyone else's knowledge.

We have always had a strong liking for one another ever since the incident that took place last year.

"Ellie?" I heard and quickly focused my attention towards Zara and removed my hand from Lila's.

"Yes Zara?"

"You, Lila, Asena, Athena, Aurora and I should go on a quest after breakfast," she recommended.

I smiled in relief but also because Lila and I would be together in the process.

"That sounds wonderful," I reply cheerfully.

Zara turns her head over to Asena who is falling asleep at the table. Zara bangs her fist onto the table and alerts the young soldier.

"Wh-what?" Asena mumbled tiredly.

I chuckled.

It was funny when Zara and Asena got like this.

"Do you want to come on a quest with us?" Zara repeated. "Yes," Asena replied and resumed resting her head in her hands.

Zara rolled her eyes as the two sisters, Aurora and Athena of course agreed not wanting to miss out on the opportunity.

I ate the last bit of my food before my plate, along with everyone else's was collected by Maria.

I blushed into my hand and got up from my seat, following in Zara and Asena's footsteps.

Zara's P. O. V.

After a few minutes we finally reached the mission request board. The missions were increasingly drastically.

"We should take this one," Athena squealed. I looked over to where her finger was pointing and it read:

Quest For Chirlingstone Fortress Soldiers!

Defeat the Yeti King, Zarmon and his minions, better yet ice serpents and snow beasts on Snowflake Peak. Please save our people, he is torturing them and enslaving the children and the women.
Warning: Eats anything and everything in his path.
~Snowflake village.

"Hmm, alright," I agreed. "Although, Snowflake Peak will take us about a day to get to. We won't reach until dawn."

With that they scrambled to their rooms to get changed into their combat gear.
