I started off with my greetings, welcoming my top warriors back home.

I look at all of them, covered with small scratches, small bruises and proud smiles on their faces.

"We killed off all of the goblins after days of continuous combat. We are exhausted and dehydrated. We have not much to cure the aching hunger deep within," remarks Athena.

I shake my head as I listened to the story.

"Yes, there were army's of those horrid creatures. Apparently, they have been sent from their master to invade Marbleden Village and capture all the women and children," says Aurora.

"Rape and ravage the women, forced the children to work as slaves and kill the men if they tried to interfere."

I knew these would be the type of things we would endure when we set off for our missions. I have seen a lot throughout my years.

"But enough talk about this. I hope the food has been prepared," smiles Lila. We all scurried into the fortress happily.

"We have arrived!" they all shouted in unison. I soon see Asena and Ellie peer from the corner, along with a few other Warriors and begin to greet them.

Asena and Aurora began to fool around, wrestling each other to the floor. Giggles and laughter and the slashing of swords and the collision of armor filled the room.

I smile, letting the two fool around. I was more than happy to have my family here at the fortress once more.

I soon notice that Lila and Ellie were nowhere to be found and I begin to wonder where they wandered off to.

I start to make my way to my headquarters when I suddenly hear a large commotion from behind me.

I run back as fast as I could, only to find one of the storage room doors open. I peek inside to see Asena and Aurora engulfed in a sea of shields.

I stand at the doorway and cleared my throat, tapping my foot with my left hand at my hip.

Their heads shot up instantly, their faces flushed with pink. I raised an eyebrow waiting for the two to clean up their foul mess.

"I want all of this cleaned by the time I return, is that understood?" I queried agitated.

Aurora shook her head obeying me. "Yes ma'am."

Asena just stood there with her arms crossed. Asena was not afraid to stand up to me and addresses me by my name rather than refer to me as ma'am. She and Ellie were the only individuals who called me Zara.

Aurora had began to pick up some of the fallen items while Asena remained standing, arms still crossed.

"I don't understand why you're still standing, you better start cleaning!" I gestured towards the mess. She huffed in annoyance, bending down to pick up the shields.

I smiled in triumph, feeling accomplished. I turn back around to resume my course of action when I suddenly here footsteps treading closer to me. I could hear the slicing of a sword coming out of its sheathe and I immediately dodge the ambush.

I pushed my attacker onto the floor. I soon come to the realization that it was Asena.

"Let's continue the duel shall we?" she sneers.

I grinned malevolently, my body and heart filled with anticipation. The thought of knowing that I could destroy her in a simple attack pleasured me greatly.

I was soon being chased out of the corridor and I ran up the flight of stone stairs to my room.

I dove into my room and quickly held the door shut however, Asena bursted through the door and tackled me to the ground.
