The Lost Come Home

Chapter 10

June's POV:

I leave the boys and go back to my apartment to find the window fixed and the guy packing up.

"Thank you so much."

"You're welcome June."

I look at him confused, I never gave him my name.

"Oh come you don't remember me? This is just sad." I look over him starting at the feet, I reach  his pale grey eyes. I feel so stupid.

"I'm so sorry Pascao, now I feel bad."

"Don't be it's been years."

"One sec stay right here," I run out of the apartment and into Day's. "Day, Eden come here."

"What do you want," Eden asks running a hand through his hair. Day comes out of his room and has questioning eyes too. I decide to just turn around and walk out the door, I know that their curiosity will get the best of them and they will follow.

I walk back into my apartment hearing the Wing brothers follow.

Day's POV:

June is being mysterious and I don't know why so I follow into the unknown.

"Day? Eden? Geez y'all look different." I know that voice.

"Pascao?"

"Yeah man?"

"What are you doing here?"

"I got bored, so I took a side job, so did the other runners they're all over this place."

"Well cousin, how is your life going?"

"Pretty good, I've been all over the place all the different sectors." I missed him so much might not of  remembered him for most of it but I felt a pull back here, and it wasn't just June.

June's POV:

Today is beautiful, the sun is shining and it is going to be a hot day in the Ruby sector. I text Tess and Pascao, Day and Eden are most likely hanging out in their air conditioned apartment so I walk over.

"Boys!" I cry overwhelmed with excitement, they both jump at my sudden entrance.

"What in the world were you thinking just then?" Eden looks scared out of his mind, "Wait, wait, wait, let me guess. I'm going to burst into the boy's apartment unexpectedly and see how many times I have to do that until they both die of heart attacks."

"No, I was thinking get on your swimsuits, we are going to the beach!" I jump up and down. I run back to my apartment

I look in my swimsuit drawer and grab the swimsuit on top. It is a bikini that has a neon patterned top with black bottoms. I pull jean shorts and a t-shirt on over the swimsuit  then throw on a pair of sandals and wait on the boys. I put a bag together of things we will need that they will forget, towels, sunscreen, etc. They show up sooner of later, they took forever but it still looks like they just got out of bed.

"Come on we are going to be late."

We walk down to the beach which is only a few blocks away. Tess and Pascao beat us there but it didn't bother me I'm just glad to be here. Quickly Day and Eden take off their shirts and they run to the water. Day swims as if he still has his leg and there isn't metal to weigh him down. I am a little more hesitant to just jump into the water, I'm insecure about the scars that never leave. I know I should be proud of them but to me they just represent pain not victory. I lift my shirt over my head and shrug off my shorts. I walk across the warm sand letting it run in between my toes.
