What the hell was this?

Why did Dervish threat me?

Wait...

This must has something to do with Handan and my argument some days ago and about her deciding to be enemies from that point on.

And as always Dervish is little a dog, doing everything she wants him to do.

I had to take a deep breath to calm down and not to call after him as I didn't want to cause any arguments right now.

- So how're you doing, beautiful? - Herman asked as I went to meet him in his room that evening.

He immediately stood up from his desk, came up to me and kissed me softly on the head.

- I'm fine - I smiled - I'm happy to be with you again, Herman... Seriously...

- That's lovely to hear - he smirked - Because I have a little surprise for you...

- A surprise?

He nodded then he walked back to his desk and took a ring out of it.

Wait, is that the ring Safiye Sultan had??

- Is this...

- It is - he nodded - Haseki Hürrem Sultan's ring that was made by Suleyman... And passed through the generations...

He then took my hand and gently slid the ring on my finger.

- This is yours now... - he added as he smiled at me.

- Are you sure about this?

- Yes, I am.

I smiled happily then I hugged him.

- I don't even deserve all this... All your kindness and everything...

- Yes, you do - Herman insisted - You're taking care of both of my sons now after all...

I sighed and smiled at him.

He's just so nice.

The only person I can truly trust and love apart from my son... Well, both boys.

Some days later I headed out to the village to see Defne and her mother again.

They're amazing people...

While I've been outside I didn't realize someone was following me and it wasn't anyone that was my "friend".

But when I arrived the first thing I've realized was Defne acting weird.

Not that... Cheerful and happy...

- Can you come with me for a moment? - she asked while I was talking to some people that were happy to see me.

- Yeah, sure! - I replied and I went with her towards her and her mother's house.

But...

She was still acting weird and looked rather terrified of something...

Or someone...

- Are you okay? - I asked her as I was starting to feel worried.

She didn't replied.

- Defne...

Right before we reached her house she suddenly stopped me.

- Don't go in! It's a trap! - she said all of a sudden.

- What?!

- They came, caught my mother and told me to bring you here, otherwise they'll kill her!

She was at the edge of crying now.

- I'm sorry!

- Crap... - I groaned and mind you, we came with a few guards, but by the time we realized how big trouble we were all the men that were following us were killed and we were facing another group of men with swords, ready to kill us...
