Yazmins POV
I was on my way out the door in my uniform and everything when Carter called me back.
“Beautiful,you didn't give me a kiss before leaving. ”
I rolled my eyes and headed over to him.
He leaned down and kissed my lips,grabbing my butt and squeezing it.
I gave him a stink face.
“Dont be me mad.”He chuckled,pecking my lips.
“Whatever.I have to go.”
“Okay.I'll see you later,baby.”
I grinned and left the house.

“What?He skipped school!?!”I yelled in my phone.
Ugh.Why would Carter do that?I thought he was finally getting the hang of it.
I huffed.Oooh me and him when he gets home.
A couple minutes later,I heard the door knob turn.
“Carter!Get in here!We need to talk!”I yelled.
He rolled his eyes and sat next to me.
“You didn't go to school today?I'm so disappointed.What's going on?”I took up my cup of coffee and sipped it.
I was exhausted. Patrolling the city is not easy.
“Nothing.I just didn't feel like going.”Carter shrugged and went to the fridge.
“Little boy you better give me a better explanation than that!”I folded my arms.
“You're cute when you're mad.”He grinned and drank the orange juice from the carton.
White people I swear.(lol im not racist.Chill fam.)
“Im serious Carter.You have to be at school.”
“Hmm.I don't have to.Its my choice.”He shrugged.
“No its not!You are required by law to go to school!I'm not trying to get ACS up in this house because you don't wanna take your behind to school!”I yelled.
Carter sat on the counter and smirked at me.
I ran a hand through my curls.
“Totally.”He said and walked away.

“This is the second week!Where have you been going that's as important to missing school !?! I'm serious about this!You have to go!”I screamed.
I didn't want to be motherly but he's got to learn somehow.
“Baby,calm down.Its okay.”
“What?No!Its not okay.Your education is valuable!You need it.To do anything.Please go to school.For me.”I begged.
“Ill think about it.”
“No!No thinking.You're going.”I stated.
“Nope.”Carter began to walk away but I grabbed his arm back.
“That wasn't a question”I replied with a death glare.
“Hmmm feisty.”He kissed my nose.
“Carter-”
“I can't help it.I'm sorry alright.I don't want to go.”
“Is there a reason why?”
He laughed.“Nope.”
I tried to stay calm.Keyword:tried.
I dragged him to couch and told him to sit.
He obeyed.
Good.
“Tell me,Carter.I wanna help.Please.”
Carter's lip trembled.“You won't get it.”
“Of course I will.Its me were talking about.”
Carter chuckled,sadly.“I hate myself so much.I keep getting mad at my teacher for never picking on me in class and recently I hit him.And he didn't call the principal because he knew I was a good kid.But Yaz I feel so horrible and I can't face him.He's such a good guy.I don't know what to do.”He started crying in my shoulder.
“Shhh.Its okay baby.He forgives you.Nothing bad is gonna happen.”
He sighed as I rubbed his back.
“You promise?”He asked.
I laughed.“Of course.Will you please go back to school tomorrow?”
He nodded,pulling me into a hug.
“You better make up the work you missed.Or else.”I playfully threatened.
He sniffled,smiling.“God I'm such a cry baby.”
Yes.Yes you are.
I kissed his cheek.“I don't care because you're my crybaby.”
He rolled his eyes,holding me tighter.
I think I stopped breathing for a few seconds.That's how tight it was.
“I wanna stay like this forever.”Carter whispered in my ear,pushing my hair back.
“Me too.”I loved his embrace;it felt so nice.
“Can I uh ask you something?”
“Sure”I looked at him.
“Do you ever feel like you love someone so much that you want to let them go?”
What?Why would he ask me that?Is he breaking up with me?
“No”.
He blushed.“Good.I just wanted to make sure.”
I laughed.“I never knew you could be self-conscious. ”
Carter smiled.“It happens sometimes.”
We sat there for a while without saying a word.

“So,Janae,you think you can mark me here?”
“Sure but it comes with a cost.”
She smiled evily at me.
“What do you want?”
"Meet me at my house later tonight."
I nodded,leaving the school.
It just went down in the dm
