What I'll later learn is that the Change happens on your sixteenth birthday, and it's also the date the older mate will know who the younger mate is. If you Change and your mate doesn't find you, that day, then you're the older mate. If you feel hollow after your Change, then your mate is already gone.

So it puzzled me when the popular kids at my school suddenly pulled me out of invisibility a week after I turned fifteen... When the most popular girl in school started to follow me around.

The problem was I didn't know what I was besides a ghost.

Yeah, I died.

But I prefer simply "ghost".

Ago.

And still haven't left to whatever's next.

My current existence isn't the best. I've been stuck at the place I died, can't go further than the road around it, or I'm blocked.

Why have I left this "plane"?

Well, until something happens, I'm stuck here.
