Chapter 6

Meek POV

3 months later...

It's been a while since I've talked to Nicki. It's always a hi and bye whenever I see her. I sorta just left her alone like she told me too cuz I was not about to keep chasing after someone who wants nothing to do with me. I met this jawn named Ashley in my 3rd block class. She's not as bad as Nicki but I wasn't complaining. We talk here and there haven't really made nothing official yet. Thanksgiving break next week and me and her were gone kick it over the break.

I was in the gym playing ball when Ashley came in with her cheerleader gear. I know the rest of the cheerleaders were coming in so that means I'm gone see Nicki. Ashley made her way over to me. "Hey meeky" she says standing on her tip toes kissing my cheek. "Wassup" I say bouncing the ball. "Ready for thanksgiving break" she asks. "Yea you" I ask as I looked up hearing yelling.

"I DONT FUCKING CARE LO. THIS THE SECOND TIME! SECOND TIME YOU'VE DONE THIS. IM DONE AND I WANT YOU AND YOUR SHIT OUT OF MY HOUSE BY TOMORROW!" Nicki yells coming in the gym. "But baby I..." Lauren says getting cut off by Nicki yelling "DONT TOUCH ME!" She yells walking over to the bench sitting her stuff down.

"Look I'll text you later I'm gone go see what's up with her" Ashley says standing up walking over to Nicki. Few moments later Nicki grabbed her things walking past me out the door. Her eyes were bloodshot red like she's been crying for 2 days straight. I smiled at the fact that maybe her and Lauren broke up because now I can finally cuff her but I know it's gone take her time to come around due to us not really talking.

"Yo Ashley where she going?" I ask grabbing my gym bag. "Home. We really needed our captain today but since she's going through personal issues she told me to take over" she says. "Yo what's her address?" I ask taking my phone out. "I'm not allowed to give out her personal...." She says til I cut her off. "What's her address" I asked again as she gave it to me. I put it in my phone leaving going to my truck. I know we're not on best of terms right now but I can tell she needs someone to comfort her. I stopped by the store grabbing some candy, flowers, and a teddy bear that said I miss you on the stomach. I then headed off to her condo.

Nicki POV

I was upstairs putting Lauren's stuff in a bag. I'm done crying over her. I caught her once again cheating on me with that bitch amber. What's sad is she used her mom bringing her sister in town as an excuse to sneak off and go be around her. Apparently this been going on for some time now and I'm just now catching on. How dumb of me to even let her back in to my heart just for her to break it into many pieces..... Again

Soon my doorbell rung. It better not be Lauren because I simply told her she couldn't come back here and that I'll call her to let her know when her things are ready at the door. I walked downstairs going to the door opening it without looking through the peephole. "Lauren didn't I tell you NOT to come ba...... Meek?" I ask confused thinking it was Lauren. "Uhhhhhh how do you know where I stay yet alone who gave you my personal information." I asked as he stood there taking his hands from behind his back giving me a pink gift bag.

I looked inside seeing candy, a card, and a teddy bear that said "I miss you". He took his other hand from around his back giving me some flowers. My heart melted at him bringing me things to cheer me up. We haven't talked in so long and seeing him standing there had me emotional. I broke down as he pulled me into a hug rocking me back an forth. I'm not gone lie. I missed him like crazy so this meant a lot to me.

As I calmed down I stepped back wiping my tears giggling. "Wow meek I don't know what to say. Come in I guess" I say stepping aside letting him in locking the door behind him. He sat on the couch as I went in the kitchen putting the flowers in a vase. I grabbed my candy and bear going to sit down across from him. "Nice place you got shorty" he says getting comfortable.

I smiled at him calling me shorty. Missed hearing that roll of his tongue. "Thanks" I say hugging my bear. "I really love this bear meek. It's cute." I say popping three skittles in my mouth. "Well glad you do. I missed you a lot shorty" he says getting up coming to sit by me. "Aww well I missed you too meek" I say honestly. "So if you don't mind I came over to comfort you and talk things out but only when you're ready tho" he says sitting back waiting for my answer.

I sat my things down on the coffee table getting comfortable on the couch. I looked at him contemplating on whether I should open up to him and let him in but if he came out his way to do all this for me then I know he's willing to hear everything that's happened to me in life. I turned my body facing him looking him into his eyes taking a deep long sigh.

"I'm ready"
