Saturday

Meek POV 

It's been 5 days since I last seen my babies. Today is Amayiah's welcome home party and its held at some place downtown. It started at 2:00pm and it was now 1:15 so I decided to make it there a lil early. "Alright big head you gone?" Na says as I grabbed my keys. "Yea I thought I'd get there early you know at least have the parents of the baby already there" I say as she peeked her around the corner. "Nigga please you ready to see and talk to my sister boy stop fronting" she says fixing her makeup as I licked my lips smiling. "Hell yeah I'm ready to see my baby, I miss her and my baby girl. Yo she said she'd let me know when I could come and see her but she never called" I say shaking my head because that hurts when you care for someone and you're the reason they shut you out.

"Aww well go on. Me and momma will be there soon" she says as I nodded my head going out the front door. It didn't take me long to get there as I pulled up seeing cars pulling in the parking lots. Making sure Nicki was here I got out looking around and sure enough I spotted her all white convertible with the "baby on board" sun shade on the window. "Damn I fucking miss them" I say to myself out loud as I walked towards the entrance. Walking in I saw all the beautiful baby decorations along with a big picture of Amayiah smiling in the center with a "Welcome home baby Amayiah" banner hanging down. Everyone was mingling as I searched the crowd looking for Nicki. "Wassup meek" I heard someone say turning around seeing it was candi.

"Wassup candi" I say hugging her. "Smell nice, so glad you're here" she says punching my arm playfully as I smiled. "Thanks and no problem you know I gotta support my baby girl. Speaking of baby girl where's my big baby girl at?" I ask looking around the room. "Oh she just went to the back to check on Amayiah because she was sleeping and she didn't want to wake her while helping with everything out here. But look go see her. My bestfriend think she can do all this by herself but she really can't and I can tell by the way she looks that she's exhausted." Candi says as I shook my head. "iight I'll be right back" I say heading towards the hallway approaching the room I heard Nicki's angelic voice from.

Nicki POV

"Hold on baby girl" I say shaking her bottle before placing it in her mouth. "Thereeeee you go piglet" I say sitting back resting til I heard a knock at the door. "Uhhhh come in" I say as my eyes lit up seeing that it was meek. "Wassup shorty" he says causing me to smile as he leaned down hugging me. "Hey meeky" I say as he smacked his lips. "Really you gone call me the name that that bitch from high school gave me?" He ask as I giggled. "Thanks for coming" I say looking over at him as he smiled reaching for Amayiah. "No don't thank me Ma, I'm supposed to be here, just like I'm suppose to be home with you taking care of you and the baby. When you gone let a nigga come back" he asks as I looked down playing with the ring he gave me in high school last year on my birthday.

"We talked about this already meek. When you learn how to care and take care of your responsibilities. I ain create Amayiah myself we both did so there for we both should be caring for her and not just when you feel like it." I say looking over at him as he fed her. "You're absolutely right and I got to talk to you about somethings but here is not the place. Do you mind if I come over later so we can talk?" He asks as I sighed. "I guess" I say as he smiled. Amayiah was sleep so he got up placing her in the car seat that was inside the stroller. "Alright let's go out there and throw a party" meek says kissing my forehead then pushing Amayiah out into the hall as grabbed my phone.
