Chapter 41

Nicki POV

"What you want from here baby" meek asks as we pulled up to chicfliA for breakfast. "The chicken biscuit and hash brown meal but instead of orange juice I want hiC juice instead" I say softly as he nodded his head ordering my food. I couldn't help but keep thinking about my baby girl. She was little and helpless laying there. They told me its hard for her to breath and eat on her own so that's what they're going up be working on with her. But I can go up at anytime I want to see her. Only meek and I are allowed tho. Once we got breakfast we headed on back home. "Alright I'll take everything in then come back and help you out iight baby" meek says as I nodded my head.

Few minutes later he came back opening my door helping me out the car. I held his hand walking slowly into the house seeing Na and Kathy. "Hey y'all" I say as meek sat me down on the couch that had a lot of bed pillows on there. Once I was straight he propped my lower half up making sure I was comfortable before passing me my food and drink. "So sweetie. How you feeling" Kathy asks knowing the answer to that damn question but you know how concerned mothers are so I'll answer this with less attitude as possible. "Horrible" I say not really wanting to talk about what happened. I started eating my food becoming teary eyed as her and Na got up walking over to me. I instantly cried as they wrapped their arms around me. "I'm gone tell you the same thing I told meek. God chose y'all two to be her parents for a reason so she needs her mom and dad to stay strong for her. She's a fighter and child of god so sit back and watch him work miracles on this baby. Stop crying Nic Nac it's not your fault" Kathy says as I laid my head in her chest crying. She rocked me back and forth until eventually I fell asleep.

Meek POV

"Damn she sleep already" I ask coming back downstairs from showering seeing Nicki knocked out. "Yes she couldn't eat her breakfast good before thinking about Amayiah which is understandable so I put it in the refrigerator." My moms says as I looked around for Na. "She left not to long ago" she says as I nodded my head. "She must just fell asleep ma" I ask walking over to her. "Uh yes she did but I got to get going ok. I'll see y'all later." She says hugging me then kissing Nicki's forehead. Damn I really wanted to go up there and see Amayiah but she just went to sleep and I know for sure when she wakes up she's going to want me right here with her.

I sat down on the couch cuddling with her pulling my phone out texting up the chasers to come over. About an hour they said they were outside. I carefully slid from under her so she wouldn't wake up. "Wassup" I say walking outside closing the door up behind me. "Wassup bull how she feeling." Omelly says dapping me up. "Well she's sleeping now but man, her heart is hurting and I hate seeing her like that man. My baby girl so small and helpless. I'm going back up there in a few hours but only me and Nicki can go up there." I say as they nodded. "Well you got pictures, lets see how she looks" tak says as I nodded pulling my phones out. "Awww man she's tiny" coon says as I scrolled through them. "Man you wrong for taking that picture of Nic with her hair like that" tak says as I looked at the phone seeing the picture I took of Nicki holding her.

"Man leave my baby alone. She was mad tired and was crying the whole day that day." I say locking my phone back. "So when y'all can bring her home." Omelly asked. "On her due date. So basically in 3 months. So I say late September or early October." I respond answering his question as the door opened revealing my baby in shorts and a white tshirt with her hair up in a bun. "Well look who decided to join us. Wassup sleepy head" Omelly says as she walked over to me wrapping her arms around my waist. "Hey" she simply says laying her head in my chest then looked up at me. "Baby can we go see her" she asks in her baby voice as I looked down at her pecking her lips. "Yea we can. I see you freshened up" I say as she smiled. "Alright go grab my keys and put the code on while I get rid of them" I say as she nodded her head and the chasers smacked their teeth. "So. I'll holla at y'all later" I say dapping them up as Nicki came back out with a night bag. "You staying over night baby" I asked as she nodded her head. "Alright lets go" I say grabbing her bag putting it in the trunk.

Hospital

Nicki POV

"Ok you can stay in here with here there's a pull out bed against the wall over to your right. I'll bring you pillows and at cover sheet for the bed. Blankets are in the closet" Amayiah's nurse says. "That bed mad small for one person so I'll go home and catch some sleep baby you...." Meek says but I cut him off. "Noooo meek stay with me" I whined. "I'll stay til you fall asleep but I won't be here when you wake up. I got some business to take care of but I'll be back tho." He says as I rolled my eyes nodding my head ok.

I walked over to the incubator looking at my baby girl. Her eyes were closed and her chest was moving up and down slowly. "Hey Amayiah. Mommy and daddy loves you so much. I can't wait for you to get bigger and stronger so I can hold you and breast feed you. Daddy probably looking at me crazy right now but he wouldn't understand" I say giggling looking back at him as he shook his head smiling. "Gosh you're so beautiful. Just like me cause yo daddy..." I say as he cut me off walking over to me. "Aye chill with all that ma. You know we both put in work to make her so don't flex like she ain't get half her beauty from me." He says wrapping his arms around my waist. "You right daddy" I say reaching up pecking his lips sucking on his bottom lip.

"Alright ma chill with all that before I have you in a closet somewhere screaming my name" he says as I pushes him off of me. "Ughhh mooooove. I just had her three days ago and you already talking about fucking meek. I can't with you! Can I at least heal first?" I ask walking over to the bed. "Come lay with me daddy" I say holding my arms out as he smirked walking over to me slowly. "Oh word" he says taking his shirt off licking his lips as I laughed. "Not the type of sleep you thinking about playboy" I say as he got on pulling me into his arms. "This is going to be a long 3 months, but we'll be right here by her side" meek says kissing my forehead combing through my hair. "Keep doing that meek. Feels good" I say closing my eyes yawning as he combed through my hair as sleep soon took over me.
