I walked into school on Monday, feeling absolutely exhausted. Yesterday, aunt Harriet and I had gone out dinner, and she had given me a new phone for my present. Nate had called from his university, wishing me happy birthday, and promising to give me my gift when he saw me next. I walked up to my locker, where the girls already stood. Cecily immediately noticed the golden iPhone 6S in my hand.

"Did your aunt give you that?! You're so lucky!" She exclaimed.

I chuckled, smiling. "Yeah. I freaked out."

Clary sighed. "I'm stuck with the stupid iPhone 5. My mom refuses to get me a new one."

Isabelle sighed. "Same."

I only chuckled at them, and started to get my books out of my locker. We all talked for a few minutes, and then all of the boys walked up to us. My eyes immediately found Will, and I studied him. He was dressed in tight black jeans, and a maroon hoodie, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His cool blue eyes were regarding us four girls, amusedly.

Jace suddenly whistled. "Damn Tessa, new phone?"

I smiled. "Yup."

"You're lucky. My parents never buy Izzy and I new phones." Alec huffed.

"That's because you don't need them. You both have the iPhone 6." Simon pointed out.

"Pish, posh." Isabelle waved her hand.

We all chuckled, and then the bell rang. Clary, Jace, Will, and I all started to walk down the hallway together, towards our English class. Will sidled up next to Jace, and they started smirking about something. They're too much alike, I thought to myself. We reached the classroom a few minutes later, and took our seats. I glanced sideways at Will, who was looking down at his phone.

It had been a bit awkward on my birthday, after he had kissed me in my room. I had felt his eyes on me a few times, causing me to blush bright red. Will suddenly turned to look at me, catching my staring. I blushed and quickly looked away.

"You know Tess, you can take a picture if you want." Will smirked.

"That would require me actually wanting to." I replied.

He laughed. "You're cute."

I flushed, and then swore internally. Why did he have to have this kind of affect on me? It was frustrating.

"Did you have fun on your birthday?" He then asked, casually.

I smiled slightly. "Yeah, it was fun. Except for you teasing me while we played never have I never."

He grinned wildly. "That was highlight, for me."

"Why do you love making my life miserable?" I groaned.

"Oh c'mon, Tess, you love it." Will winked.

"I have no clue how Celine and Stephen put up with you." I sighed, shaking my head.

His blue eyes twinkled. "Easy. I charm the hell out of them."

I only sighed and shook my head, and Will grinned. There was something so wild and freeing about that grin, that it just made you smile. That's what Will was, though. Wild and carefree. I looked at him thoughtfully, and then looked away, as the lesson was starting. Our teacher said that we would be writing stories, and I grinned immediately. Writing was what I loved. He said that it needed to be at least two pages, and that was our only rule. We were then given the rest of class to work on our stories.

I instantly got to work. My story would be about a boy and girl. The boy was cursed, so that whoever he loved would die, and because of this he pushed everyone away and pretended to be someone he wasn't. The girl meets him, and instantly falls in love with him, but can't figure why the boy was the way he was. I wrote ideas and names, fiercely, down onto the page.

"You look like you're in a race." An amused voice said from beside me.

I stopped working, and looked up to see Will, who looked amused.

"I have a really good idea." I admitted. "I want to write it down before I forget it."

"What is it?" He asked.

"It's about a boy who's cursed so that whoever loves him will die, and he meets a girl who he falls in love with him, but pushes her away. I'm still figuring out how it should end, though." I chewed on the end of my pencil, regarding my paper thoughtfully.

"How did you come up with that?" Will raised an eyebrow.

I shrugged. "I just thought of it."

Will only looked at me thoughtfully, and I was entranced by his blue eyes. He was so lucky to have such beautiful eyes, him and Cecily, both. I only had boring grey ones, that were the same everyday. It seemed like Will's eyes changed different shades of blue, everyday.

"Your eyes. They change shades, everyday." I heard myself saying, feeling dazed.

Will started to grin. "Do they?"

I blushed, and snapped my gaze away from his. "Um yeah."

He chuckled. "You get embarrassed so easily."

At his words, I felt myself blush deeper, causing him to laugh. I looked back at him, to see him grinning wildly, again.

"What are you going to write your story about?" I changed the subject.

Will shrugged lazily. "I don't know."

"Do you even actually do any work?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, Tessa, I do." He rolled his eyes.

"Doesn't seem like it." I said, amused.

"You don't know everything about me, Tess." His blue eyes twinkled.

"True, but I know a lot." I stated. "Even though you don't want me to. You don't know that much about me."

"Oh really?" Will smirked. "I know everything about you."

I scoffed. "Like what?"

"You love reading and you only read classics, you hate chocolate, you like two sugars in your coffee and one cream, you love One Direction for reasons I can't understand, you love sunsets, you favourite thing in the world is to read on a rainy day, you love writing stories, when you're nervous you bite your lip, when you're upset you don't talk to anyone, you like Clary the best out the three of them, though you would never admit it, and you hate cake." Will finished, smirking.

My mouth parted in surprise. How did he know all of that about me?

"How do you know all of that?" I asked, bewildered.

"I watch you, Tess, even when you're not looking." He said simply.

"Why?" I was wide eyed.

Will shrugged, and then turned back in his seat, and so did I. I still felt surprised.

Did Will really pay that much attention to me?
