So currently I'm on the floor. After telling Jack we could do some actual mate-ish things, he asked me if we could sleep in the same bed together. I agreed, seeing that this could be good for us. Although I didn't know what I was getting myself into. It turns out Jack moves around a lot when he sleeps. So considering our size differences he easily rolled over and pushed me out of bed. What a loving mate.

What I was expecting was to wake up with an arm around my waist and my head on his chest. What I expected was to wake up like the characters do in movies. What I got was a soft snore, and then a small movement and I was on the ground. But hey, he had carpet so it was fine.

I decided I'd take a walk. I clearly wasn't going to be getting to sleep any time soon, so this seemed like a good idea. I don't even think I'd be able to lay on the bed for five minutes before Jack would roll over and push me off again. It turns out he's never had to share a bed with anyone, and as happy as that made me, it was somewhat unfortunate for sleep.

I've never shared a bed with anyone either, it's just, as a kid I had bunk beds and I got used to not rolling around at all, even with my double bed back at home.

I went downstairs into the kitchen to eat something before I left. I grabbed an apple off the counter and scribbled a quick note to Jack about how I was going to be gone for a half an hour, but how he shouldn't worry because I would be back soon. I had my phone for the time, and I was just about to leave when I heard a knock on the door. It was fast, so whoever was knocking was in a rush.

I ran to the door. The front door was a large double oak door with brass handles. It was majestic almost, and I realized that his was the first time I had seen it, as I left through the garage door to go shopping and I was asleep when they took me in the firs after, wel, kidnapping me.

I pulled open the heavy door. My guess was that someone had gotten themselves locked about, and my money was on Daniel. But my guess was wrong. What I saw at the door made my heart stop.

It was Mandy.

She was covered in blood. There was a huge scratch on her shoulder going all the way down to her index finger. Bruises were scattered all over her body. She looked like she was in so much pain, but I saw no tears in her eyes. I only saw anger and determination in her big brown eyes.

"Mandy, what happened?!" I demanded. I wanted to know why my best friend looked like she had just gotten back from a war. Her brown hair looked like it had pulled and tugged at, and it was sticking up everywhere in her ponytail.

"Blue Moon is under attack! Eva, you have to come back!" She cried hysterically. I didn't know what to think. My pack has been attacked, again? We were having some really tough luck. We weren't tough enough to survive an attack from Black Shadow, the strongest pack, and then an attack not even two weeks after it. Blue Moon hasn't had enough time to heal.

I thought about my dream. Was this it? I thought maybe the dream didn't mean anything, and I had forgotten about it if I'm being honest. I was more focused on getting Jack and I's relationship to the next level. From friends to more than friends.

"I... I need to tell Jack. But I'll be coming!" After all, family comes first. And Blue Moon was my family. Maybe it wasn't my home anymore, but it was my family, and Black Shadow wasn't yet.

I ran up the stairs, two at a time. Frantically, I shook Jack. When he finally woke up, I didn't even explain what was happening. I just pulled him down the stairs and when he saw Mandy, he understood.

"Jason remade an army. Is Blue Moon getting attacked?" I just nodded for an answer to his question. My eyes were watering but I frantically blinked the tears away. I had to be strong, for Mandy. And for Blue Moon.

"We have to go! They need help!" Mandy yelled. I could see she was itching to get back into the fight. She needed to protect people, it's what she was born to do and trained to do.

"Alright. I'm coming." I said. I left no room for argument. That's because nothing would stop me from helping my family.

Not even Jack.

He could try, but he would not stop me.

He didn't know how it felt. Him being a male, he was used to doing the protecting. But how would Blue Moon think of me when I sent an army their way to help them, but I didn't show up myself. They'd probably think that I thought I was too good for them, and that was definitely not the case. I knew how much I cared for them, but if I didn't show up, they would think I didn't care at all.

But I cared. More then they could know. They were my family, they still are. I just couldn't abandon them, not when they needed me the most.

Their Female Alpha was coming back, and whoever dared to attack them would have to back off and pay for what they had done.

I went upstairs to change from my pyjamas into something more suitable. I pulled on some dark tight pants and a dark shirt. I put on a jacket made out of a material that would allow me to move. I wasn't worried about looking nice, though, as I would most likely be in my wolf form. These clothes were chosen, though, in case I didn't shift.

I looked at myself one last time in the mirror. I was going to defeat these rogues, and I was going to protect my family.

Or I was going to die trying.
