Jack's (Eva's mate) POV

I sighed contently as I held my mate in my lap. I kept her wrists and ankles bound, though. I didn't want her running away again. I can't wait to find out the angel's name. Well technically, she was trying to escape and acting more like a devil. But who cares? I found my mate!

"Well boys, she put up a chase. But alpha daughter or not, 15 to 1 is an easy fight." I smirk. They chuckle and agree. I can't wait until she wakes up. We will rule the Black Shadow Pack. Just think, an Alpha and Luna both with high ranked blood.

My mate had wild red hair that felt like silk. It reached her mid-back. Her eyes were dark I think, but I only got a glimpse of them. She was very petite in human form, but a very big and tall wolf. She was perfect, and I couldn't wait to hear her voice. My wolf couldn't wait either.

Her small body fit perfectly in my lap. I smiled. This is how it was supposed to be. The Moon Goddess was always right when it came to mates, and just by the way I could hold mine, I knew that for a fact.

The Moon Goddess to werewolves is like God to humans, or gods and goddesses to different religions. Many people prayed to her and she chose the pairings for mates. And she was never wrong.

The van arrived at the pack house. People crowded around, probably because they heard about their new Luna, the female alpha. I cradled my little mate in my arms. I walked into the house where more people were looking at us. I paid them no mind though, I was focused on my mate.

I walked up the steps to my bedroom. Thankfully it was cleaned before we left to ambush the other pack. Her old pack. I hope she forgives me. I removed the duct tape, but I handcuffed her ankle to one of the four bedposts. I'll just have to wait until she wakes up to release her and talk.

Not necessarily in that order.

I did not want her getting away.

Eva's POV

I'd like to think that the past events were just dreams. Nightmares that I was kidnapped and my pack was attacked. But when I couldn't move one of my legs and when I was in a different bed then my one at home, I realized that it was a reality. I forced my tired eyes to open. Swimming drains me.

The room I'm in is fancy. The king sized bed had an elegant golden duvet cover with 4 bed posts hat have curtains attached. The walls are also gold. I'm noticing a theme. The couch and coffee table in the corner of the room are brown. The whole west side is a giant window looking out on a lake view. I looked out the window. Beyond the lake was a forest. I needed to get to that forest and leave.

I sighed dramatically. If they were going to keep me here I was going to make their lives terrible. I grunted and awkwardly shifted my position. I guess my mate heard this because I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. He opened the door and smiled. I felt my heart flutter and my wolf was going crazy. It was funny what just a smile could do, but I wasn't going to fall for his charms. Here was a killer behind that smile. A killer that attacked my pack. Like father like son.

"Hello, little mate," he said politely. I just look at him. He seemed to understand that I wasn't going to respond so he continued. "My name is Jack, what's your name princess?" Jack, an amazing name for an amazing guy. Stop it Eva!

"Don't call me that." I growled.

"Okay, angel."

"Don't call me that either." I said brought clenched teeth. I hated pet names.

"Then tell me your name, babe." He said simply.

I ignored him. How dare he waltz into my life and expect me to fall head over heels for him. He kidnapped me! For all I know, my parents think I'm dead. Wait! My parents! Are they okay? What about my friends? All the pups? Oh, why now did I have to be kidnapped now.

I didn't know I was crying until Jack was wiping my tears when I didn't realize they were falling.

"Hey, hey. It's fine, it'll be alright." He said soothingly. That made me snap.

"Alright! You say it will be alright?! My parents and my pack might all be dead! And I wouldn't know about it! You just had to attack my pack! What will my parents do if they survived without the pack, what would they do if they thought I was dead?! And it was your pack who attacked mine, you expect me to think it will be alright?!" I screamed. He seemed so hurt by my words I almost regretted saying them. Almost. It's cause and consequence. Whatever his problem was with my pack he should've talked it out. Violence is not the answer.

If he had talked it out, we could've met normally, and I would have fallen head over heels for him. But he chose the violent path, and I was going to choose which ever path that led away from him.

He opened his mouth as if he was about to say something, then he closes it. He does this a few more times, probably trying to figure out what to say. In the end, he turned on his heel and left. Honestly, he looked like a fish.

I sighed. I wasn't going to accept him until he brought me back to my old pack house. No, I wouldn't reject him, not only would it crush him, but my wolf would never talk to me again.

'You got that right!' She told me. And as much as I hated to admit it, the rejection would probably crush me too.

But I needed to find out that my family was okay. And Mandy! What about her? What would my pack do- I was an only child, there's no heir to the Alpha title.

In all honesty, I chose a pretty crappy time to get kidnapped.

But I didn't exactly choose this.
