"Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong! I have as much soul as you, and full as much heart! And if God had gifted me with some beauty and much wealth, I should have made it as hard for you to leave me, as it is now for me to leave you!" Sadie pauses, then turns back to her Mr. Rochester. "It is my spirit that addresses your spirit; just as if both had passed through the grave, and we stood at God's feet, equal, as we are!" Sadie exclaims. Tears start to form in her eyes.

"As we are!" Elliott responds passionately as he looks down at his Jane. He pulls her in close for the big scene.

"Cut! That's a wrap!" Yells the director. Reluctantly, Elliott lets her go. "Good work everyone. Keep it up; we'll continue this Monday".

"Why would he wrap it up now?" Sadie asks.

"Exactly." A blush spreads across his cheeks. "I've been waiting to do this scene all week". She nods, even though she doesn't hear him.

"I was in the zone! Fake tears and everything!" They both chuckle, one more feigned than the other. "It was probably for the best though. This corset is really digging into my ribs". Sadie waves bye as she walks off to her trailer.

Martin, Elliott's makeup artist and friend, walks up to him. "So," He nudges him. "How did the big scene go? Was the kiss everything you ever wanted and more?" He teases. Moments like these, Elliott regrets confiding in him about his wistful crush on his co-star.

"No. The director cut right before I had the chance to! I mean I was two seconds away from..." He didn't even want to say the word 'kiss', he was so irritated.

"What a cock blocker." Martin comments as he pats his back. "Monday definitely." Elliott shakes his head with discouragement.

After hours of changing from a Victorian aristocrat back to a 21st century break-out star, Elliot steps out his trailer. He pushes his hair back as he looks for his keys. Wondering if he left them back in the trailer, he turns around. As fate would have it, Sadie was walking toward him.

          "Hi." He clumsily waves.

"Hey!" She walks up and gives him a quick hug. Elliott would soon crave her touch every time her name was even spoken. "You going home?"

"Yeah. I was just going back for my keys. I think I lost them."

"Oh, I hope you find them soon. There's supposed to be a storm coming in later tonight. I'd hate for you to be stuck here." She laughs, trying to lighten the mood.

"Yeah, I probably just left it in my trailer." He responds sulkily. Despite her being right there in front of him, he still feels disappointed about the kiss...or lack there of. He knew the kiss was in the script way before he fell for Sadie, but it wasn't until months ago when they started to rehearse together, did he find himself nervous about it. After weeks of breathing exercises, he finally got the courage that he needed to complete the scene.

          "I'll help you look."

"No. You should go home if a storm is coming."

"Nonsense." She says as she pushes her way into the trailer.

They looked around the small room for a good 5 minutes, or at least that's what it felt like to Elliott, before he finally found his voice.

"So...do you have any plans tonight?"

"No." She shakes her head. "Just some leftover soup and a movie with my cat." She chuckles at how ridiculous that sounds out loud.

"Oh..." Elliott had no idea how to inconspicuously ask if she had a boyfriend. She could have had a husband already for all he knew. Sadie didn't share much information about her personal life, despite making friends with almost everyone on set.

He hears a jingling. "I found them." She exclaims.

"Thanks." He reaches for them. Abruptly, she yanks her hand back and keeps the keys. "Do you mind if I ask you something first? Before I let you go."

          "Sure." He replies curiously.

"Do you want to watch the movie with me? I promise its not a chick flick." She crosses her heart. "And we can pick up some take out on our way back to my place so we don't have to have day old soup." Sadie laughs nervously, desperately trying to not let silence fall between them. Waiting for an answer is worse than him quickly saying no.

"Soup sounds perfect." He says as he nods with the biggest grin on his face.
