"My training? But didn't I just recover?" You ask.
"Yes. But you have recovered very well, and the sooner you have trained, the safer you'll be," Thranduil replied simply.
"The nurses have set up a bath and put out clothes for you. Once you have refreshed yourself come down to the dining hall for dinner," said Legolas. You didn't know what to say, so you nodded instead. All of this was happening quite fast for you. It was very overwhelming. But you did as they had asked; you cleaned up and then met them in the dining hall.
Dinner was marvellous! The food was heavenly, but you found your conversation even more so. You sat across Legolas which gave you the perfect opportunity to talk to him, and you did. You learned how funny he was, and how smart. But you also realized how handsome he was. You had always thought he was good looking in the movies, but this was different. Now that he was in front of you, you were really able to see the details of his face, and it really was attractive. The depth of his blue eyes, the sharpness of his jawline, the curve of his smile... He was utterly breathtaking.
When dinner ended, Legolas offered to walk you to your room, which you happily accepted. You found yourself in a different room before, which was because the other room was for healing purposes. This room was even more grand. It looked like it had been built for a prince!
"Do you like it?" Legolas asked you.
"I love it! It's so beautiful. I feel like royalty,"  you said, taking a seat on the soft bed with lovely velvet sheets.
Legolas smiled at you. "I'm glad you feel that way," he said. "If you need anything my room is right next door. Training will start right after lunch tomorrow, and after breakfast on all other days."
You nodded in response, said goodnight, and headed off to bed.

You woke up with the sun shining on your face and birds singing. Today was your first day training. You were excited with the thought of being able to fight like they did in books and movies, and to spend time with Legolas. But you were also nervous. What if you couldn't do it?
You shook the thoughts out of your head as you got ready for breakfast. As far as you knew, you weren't dining with the king this morning; just grabbing breakfast in the kitchen. That's when you realized you didn't even know where the kitchen was!

Should I ask Legolas? He said to ask if I needed anything...

You were just about to knock on his door when it opened.
"Y/n!" He said, surprised. You loved the way he said your name.
"Oh! I was about to come ask you where the kitchen was," you said with a nervous giggle.
"Follow me." Legolas smiled.
Legolas ate breakfast with you and you found yourself liking him more than ever. You talked all the way from breakfast to lunch, and even had lunch together. During lunch you came across an interesting topic: what you hate the most.
"I've always hated spiders. They're just so creepy!" You answered.
Legolas laughed and his face lit up with his gorgeous smile.
"Well you better get over that fear soon because Mirkwood is filled with spiders."
"I know. Hopefully I'll never run into one," you replied, remembering the giant spiders Tolkien wrote about. "So what do you hate the most?" You asked with a smirk.
"Easy. Dwarves. Always hated them, always will," he said simply. You were about to ask why when he told you it was time to start training.
You followed him out of the palace to a field lined with trees. Each tree on the farthest end of the field had a target.
Legolas handed you a bow and quiver and then took out one of his own.
"You hold it like this, then you pull the string back, pulling the arrow with it," he explained. Then he did something you didn't expect.
He stood behind you and put his hands on your shoulders, then softly ran one hand down the arm holding the bow, gently holding your hand at the end. With his other hand he did the same, but with the arm that was holding the string. You breathed in deeply and held it in as you felt the warmth of his body around you. He carefully helped you lift the bow and pull the string to your cheek.
"Now you just aim and release when you're ready," he said quietly. His face was touching your hair and you could feel his breath in your ear when he spoke. You took another deep breath before releasing the string, sending the arrow whizzing through the air. Thwong! It landed right in the centre of the target! Legolas smiled at you proudly, sending butterflies to your stomach. "Good job! You're a natural."
You grinned in response before realizing his hands were still on yours, which practically made him hug you from behind. You bit your lip slightly and looked up at him. He realized your position and quickly put his hands behind his back, clearing his throat. There was an awkward silence.
"Ahem.. So, are you going to continue training me or...?"
"Oh, um," he started, running his hand through his hair. "Let's try hand to hand combat since it seems like you're okay on archery." You nodded in agreement.
He taught you the basics and then you started practicing. You fought together with rather playfully. He was about to kick you when you grabbed his leg, causing him to fall on the grass below you. You sat on his stomach and crossed your arms. "I win," you said with a smirk. Legolas flipped you over and sat on you just as you were sitting a moment ago. "I beg to differ," he said. He rested his forearms on the ground so his face was just inches above yours. You both just lay there for a moment staring into each other's eyes. You were sure you felt something in that moment, and from the look in his eyes you were almost sure he felt it too. It was like in the movies when the co-stars meet for the first time and it's love at first sight. That's what you felt right now. You become certain he felt it as well when he started to lean in. Your heart began to race when you realized you were about to kiss Legolas. The Prince of Mirkwood! He was just a millimetre from your lips. You started to close your eyes when-
"Legolas!"
He quickly got up from you and you heard him curse under his breath.
"Coming Ada!" he said as he started walking back towards the palace.
"I'll see you at dinner," Legolas told you, looking over his shoulder. Soon you were alone on the field, still sitting there in that spot where you almost kissed. You sighed and got up, bringing your bow and quiver with you.
