Lost love (a thalico story)

Chapter 1

Nico's POV- The first time I layed eyes on her I instantly fell in love. I had never experienced love before but I knew that I loved her. Her shocking blue eyes and jet black hair made it almost impossible to look away. She was a total tomboy but I didn't care. She was perfect.

That all ended when she became a hunter, swearing never to fall in love or get married. I was heartbroken. I like to think the only reason she became a hunter is so she could become immortal and not have to fufill the role mentioned in the prophecy, but somehow knew she just never wanted to fall in love. She had mentioned before that she had become good friends with Luke and I could tell that by the way she talked about him that she loved him. I knew that she never wanted to love anyone again after what happened with Luke turning evil.

Once Percy had defeated Luke and Kronos, she was heartbroken. Her and Annabeth sat by his side and cried for what seemed like forever. I hated seeing her like this. I tried to comfort her but she completely ingnored me. I knew she just wanted to be alone for a while but secretly hoped that she didn't want me to comfort her because she was worried she may fall in love with me.

So now here we are in the present and my feelings haven't changed. I was still in love with Thalia Grace. I think that our friendship over the years since Luke died has grown immensely, and we begun to spend alot of time together. I was overly excited when one day she asked if she wanted to go on a picnic by the strawberry patch. So I went down to the field and waited for the love of my life.

"Hey Nico" I hear behind me and turn around to see a beautiful Thalia.

"Earth to Nico!" She said and I realized I had been staring longer than I thought.

"Like what you see?" She asked jokingly

"You wish" I replied.

"So what's new with you? I feel like I haven't seen you in ages" she said but in reality we had just seen each other yesterday.

"Thals I'm exactly how I was yesterday. What about you has anything new happened in the past 24 hours?"

"Actually yes. You see I was asked to go on a quest with the hunters, Jason and Piper. I don't know how long I'll be gone, so that's why I made this picnic to say goodbye for who knows how long."

I was shocked. She was leaving. I couldn't believe it.

"Oh well comgrats. So if you are leaving I need you to know something because I may not have a chance later. I love you Thals"
