Chapter 17

Thalia's POV

I'm out of the hunt! I am officially able to do whatever I want. I couldn't be happier.

That is until I begin to talk to Connor. He reminds me so much of Luke and it's hard for me to even say two words. Wait... Am I falling for Connor? No that's not right. I did that whole quest so I could be with Nico. I'm not going to fall for him. But I think I already have. I head to my cabin where I begin to cry.

Maybe I was better off in the hunt. Then I wouldn't be dealing with this drama. I hear my door open and turn to see Annabeth. You see Annie and I have been friends forever and I am so glad she's here.

"Thals? What's wrong?"

"You can't tell anyone especially not Nico. Swear on the River Styx."

"I swear. Now tell me what's wrong"

I tell her the story and how I am slowly falling for Connor.

"Well I'll tell you a story. When I met Percy I didn't like him at all. He was annoying and a know it all. I also liked Luke as you know. But as I got to know Percy I slowly started falling for him and that's how we ended up how we are now."

"So you're telling me go for Connor since I don't know that much about him?"

"No! I'm saying that love has it's way of figuring itself out. Just wait and the decision will become easier."

"Thanks Annie. I can always count on you."

I decide eventually that I am going to stay with Nico. I did so much to be able to be with him and I don't want it to be for nothing.

"Hey Connor can I talk to you. In private?"

"What's up Thals."

"Look. I think it'd be best if we kind of kept our distance."

"Why? You falling for me Thalia?"

"I don't know what I am doing but I want it to stop so..."

But I am stopped by his lips against mine.

"Thals?"

I hear and turn to see Nico.

God dammit Connor why'd you have to do that.

I run after Nico and try to explain.
