Lost love (a thalico story)

Chapter 18

Nico's POV-

One day Thals and I are going on a quest to be together and the next she's kissing some other guy. I mean I get it I'm not the best looking guy there is but I thought she loved me. Obviously not. I want to believe that she had no action in it and it was all his fault but I don't know if I can.

After I saw them kiss I ran into my cabin and locked the door. I could hear Thalia knocking on the door pleading to talk but I tuned her out. I layed on the top of my bunk and contemplated what to do. On one hand I could let Thalia explain and decide whether I believe her then or not. On the other I could just end it then and there and break up with her.

After a while I opened my door and walked past a crying Thalia. I went to the one person who could help me get through this. Piper. I mean she's a child of Aphrodite maybe she can help me. If not I have my instincts and can follow them.

"Hey Piper can I talk to you?"

"Sure Nico what's up?"

"I needed your advice on something. So I saw Thalia kissing Connor. I want to know if I should talk to her about it or if I shouldn't trust her and just end it now."

"What I've learned from dating Jason is that there's always times where you feel like you can't trust each other. Of course I've never seen him kiss another girl. What I'm saying is if you really love her you'll trust that whatever she says is the truth."

"Great thanks Piper you're the best."

I head over to talk to Thalia.

"Thalia we need to talk."

"Nico let me explain. I didn't kiss him he kissed me I was telling him I wanted to keep our distance."

"Why would you want to keep your distance from him?"

"Well...."

"It's because you like him. I can't date someone who likes someone else. I thought this would work but obviously not. I'm sorry and hope we can still be friends."

Before I could hear what she had to say I walked away and headed to my cabin. Maybe eventually we can work it out and get back together but for now I need some space.
