Molly's POV
"Training is over," Penny finally says.
I look up at the moon, which is already crawling higher and higher into the sky. Stars are sprinkled throughout the dark. Training lasted longer today. The more training we complete, the quicker we will be able to leave.

Without another word to anyone, I position my bow so that the string stretches across my torso and run into the forest, where I know a certain someone will be. Alex follows close behind me.

We arrive in a somewhat familiar clearing, and I see the person I'm looking for, still perched on a branch.
"Hello, Molly," The Dreaming Wanderer says. "Alex."
"Hello," I reply. Alex gives a small wave.
"Have you at least given thought to the situation with your father?" The Dreaming Wanderer asks.
"Only a little bit," I admit. "I'm pretty sure I want to find him. I also had a question. What dangers would I be facing if I helped you find my father?"
"Well, in one of the forests you have to travel through, there are several threatening creatures along the path," she begins. "There are also harmful plants. Running out of food anywhere along the way of the journey will pose as a problem because there aren't many edible resources in the areas you are traveling through. There will be great heights and depths you will need to reach in order to get from place to place. Most of these problems apply to all of the areas you need to get to. As for the camp he is trapped in, there will be guards to get past and dangerous obstacles. Of course, if you accept, I will be coming with you. And there will be enemies on the path, but there are high chances that you will meet allies on our trip."

I nod. So, there will be several threats. But after a bit more training, they should be simple to get around.

After a moment of silence between the three of us, I speak. "I think I honestly do want to go," I whisper. "Especially if he's in danger."
"Do you want to know about what is happening to him?" The Dreaming Wanderer asks softly. I nod, tears filling my eyes. "Alright," she begins. "I've already told you about your father being taken to a demon camp. He is most likely there because of his massive amount of power. For several years, demons have been trying to figure out how angels manage to become so much more powerful than them. This is also one of the main reasons the war started. Anyways, the spies from demon camps would come to your own camp to look for simpleminded, powerful angels. They found your dad; he wasn't simpleminded, but he held so much power. So, they captured him and threatened him. As Penny said, if he didn't leave his village behind and join their camp, his family would be gone." She shakes her head. "It isn't right. I'm upset to say I don't know what they're doing to him."

I take a deep breath and nod. A thought comes to my mind instantly. "Oh, Hillary and Phantom!" I exclaim. "Do you know anything about them?"
"Yes, I know a bit about them," she replies thoughtfully. "Hillary is a very important nurse in your camp. She heals people very well, and she knows exactly how much of each herb to put into a healing concoction. She also has the ability to help with other situations, such as homesickness, emotional problems, and even the slightest bit of combat. Bella is her close friend, a librarian. Phantom is Hillary's companion. I guess when she went missing, Bella went slightly crazy. Eric, another one of the librarians, is probably the only person keeping her sane."
  "Eric?" I ask.
"Assistant and close friend," she answers. "That's all I currently know. Sadly, I cannot identify her location at he moment."
  "Thank you," I whisper.
  "You're welcome," she says.

I bite my lip, feeling guilty for asking so many questions. The Dreaming Wanderer tilts her head and stares at me through her mask for a moment.
"What's wrong?" I finally ask.
"You have another question to ask," she replies. "Am I correct?" I nod slowly. "Don't be afraid to ask."
"Am I going to end up with angel wings and powers?" I ask hesitantly.
"Of course," she answers simply. "Everyone gets their wings and powers at a different time, though. Angels will get them between the ages of sixteen and twenty-two. Your father got them on his seventeenth birthday, if I remember what he said correctly. Which means that you could be getting yours soon."
"Thank you so much," I whisper. A tear slips from my eye, but I wipe it away. "I don't know what's happening. I can't process it. I was taken from my home and brought to a camp that I can't leave until I've trained for eight years. This is very helpful me."
The Dreaming Wanderer nods. "It is my pleasure to help you," she says in a soft voice.

I sigh. "I suppose we should get back before they start to wonder where we went," I whisper. "I'm sure they will assign us curfews as we progress with training." I look at the moon, slowly making its way higher into the dark sky.
"Very well," The Dreaming Wanderer says. "I will see you later. Remember, you still have only a few days short of a month to decide whether or not you want to find your father."
"Thank you," I reply. "Bye."
"Goodbye," she says with a small wave.

I walk into the trees, and I hear Alex murmur a quick "thank you" to her before he follows me.
"What do you think you're going to do about your father?" he asks softly. "You know I'm going to go with you if you decide to find him."
"I'm well aware," I sigh. "I just don't want you getting hurt. You are my only friend, after all." He cracks a small smile. "To answer your question," I continue seriously, "I want to find him. I really do. I suppose I just need to think about it before choosing. This decision could affect many things."
He nods understandingly. "Just don't feel too pressured into doing anything," he says. I nod.
"Thank you, Alex," I whisper. He gives me a confused glance. "Thank you for everything. Thank you for finding me when I realized my father wouldn't be found. For being my friend. For tolerating my annoying personality and pointless conversations. For comforting me after this whole situation. Thank you for all of that."
He gives me a warm smile. "What are friends for?" he asks softly. "And you aren't annoying." He chuckles. "Most of the time."
"Hey!" I exclaim, giving him a small smile and nudging his arm. "I'm not always annoying."
"I just said that," he retorts with a laugh. I roll my eyes, still smiling slightly.

We arrive back at camp, and I turn before closing my cabin door. "Thanks again," I whisper to Alex. "I appreciate it. You're such a good sport."
He smiles. "You're welcome," he replies. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight," I echo before closing the door gently. I lie down on the mattress, removing my necklace with its sparkling sapphire gem, holding my precious companion, before falling asleep peacefully.
