*Danielle's POV*
I wasn't sure how much longer I could stand to be on the run. The past eight months were extremely hard on me. I was beyond tired and would snap at anyone including Daryl. Lori was so close to giving birth and if we didn't find a place soon she could give birth on the road.
I was curled up on the floor of the latest house we were holed up in. I was cold but I didn't want to say anything. I had my eyes closed but I could hear Daryl's footsteps coming over.
"Ya asleep babygirl?" He asked.
"No. As tired as I am I can't fall asleep. It's the adrenaline and fear." I replied sitting up.
He sat down beside me and wrapped an arm around me.
"Rick knows what he's doing. I think." He told me.
"I don't think he does. We've been out here for months and had no luck finding a safe place for all of us. Lori's due any day now and none of us have had a decent night's sleep in nearly nine months." I replied laying my head on his shoulder.
"I know Sunshine. Just hold on a little while longer and we'll find a place, I'm sure of it." He said.
"I hope so, Daryl. I hope so." I yawned.
"Get some sleep babygirl. We gotta move again in a few hours." He told me.
I snuggled into his arms letting his body heat keep me warm as I attempted to sleep.

We went back out on the road at first light to find another house. It was getting to be redundant; we find a house, Rick, Daryl, T-Dog and Carl clear it then the rest of us wait to get the signal before going in. It had been a week or two since me and Daryl had our small talk and now we weren't hardly talking at all, he would still show me affection but it wasn't like it was at the farm. I couldn't even remember the last time we had been intimate and that area of my body ached to feel him again. We had found another house and were in the process of looking for things to eat. Daryl was plucking an an owl that I wish he hadn't killed while I sat silently by his side. I didn't even make a sound when Rick tossed a can into the fireplace, I just jumped at the force of the throw.
It had felt like we hadn't been there for a minute when T-Dog gave us the signal that we had to move again. I followed the others out of the house and quickly got onto Daryl's bike as he started it up. We fell in line with the others as we pulled away from the house. We got a far enough distance away and stopped. I climbed off the back of the bike and joined the others as they looked over the map we used countless time by now.
"We got no place left to go." T-Dog announced.
"When this herd meets up with this one, we'll be cut off. We'll never make it south." Maggie said, referring to the separate herds we had been running from.
"What would you say? That was about 150 head?" Daryl asked.
"That was last week. It could be twice that by now." Glenn replied.
"If not more." I added.
"This river could've delayed them. If we move fast, we might have a shot to tear right through there." Hershel suggested pointing out path on the map.
"Yeah, but if this group joins with this one, it could spill out this way." I pointed out.
"So we're blocked." Maggie sighed.
"Only thing to do is double back at 27, and swing towards Greenville." Rick suggested.
"Yeah we already picked through there. It's like we spent the winter going around in circles." T-Dog replied.
