*Danielle's POV*
It had been almost three weeks since the Governor attacked the prison. We had cleaned up some, we had fixed the gates and cleaned up the tombs. We had also started building a few things out in the yard like a barbecue pit and a pig pen. We even had a stable for horses Rick found outside the gates.
"Danielle, wait up!" I heard Maggie yell from behind me.
I stopped and turned around to see her jogging to catch up to me.
"What is it Mags? I have fence duty in a few minutes." I told her once she caught up.
"I just heard that one of the people Rick brought in was a pastor. I just talked to him and he agreed to marry us, me and Glenn, and you and Daryl." She excitedly told me.
"When?" I squealed no longer interested in fence duty.
"Tonight! We're going on a run to get our dresses and anything else we need. Beth is coming with us while Jon goes with Daryl and Glenn." She told me.
"What are we waiting for? Let's go!" I told her grabbing her arm and running to the car.
I didn't have my bow but I have my gun and knives so I was set. I noticed Maggie had her gun belt on so she was set too.
Me and Maggie walked over to the car where Beth stood waiting on us.
"The guys just left since we're doing this the traditional way. You can't see each other until the ceremony." Beth told us.
"But I just saw Daryl not even an hour ago." I blurted out.
"Well we'll count the run as the overnight apart." Beth smiles.
I sighed but climbed in the car. Maggie took the drivers seat and with the aid of Carl on the gates we drove away from the prison.
*Daryl's POV*
After a few hours of driving Jon finally stops the car in front of a Men's Warehouse.
"I figured we could find nearly everything in here." He said taking the keys out of the ignition.
I wasn't exactly sold on the idea of getting something I'd just throw out tomorrow but this wasn't for me, it was for Danielle. She wanted a semi-traditional wedding so I was gonna give it to her.
Jon walked up to the front windows and banged on them to draw any walkers to the front. The store was clear so we broke the glass and climbed though the broken out door.
I had no idea where to start, I've never had to dress like this until now.
"I'll help ya, consider it my first act as best man and future brother in law." Jon said walking up beside me.
I grunted and nodded, my go to things when I had no idea how to express something. He took out a flashlight and I did the same before we started looking through clothes.
"What size are your pants and shirt?" Jon asked.
"No clue, it's been so long since I last got 'em." I told him.
"Okay, let's go with a large on the shirt and we'll just do the pants by trying them on. You don't look smaller than a 38 so we'll start there. We'll also need shoes." Jon replied pulling shirts and pants from piles.
"What's wrong with my boots?" I asked.
"Do you think she'd let you wear boots even if this wasn't the apocalypse?" He replied with a cocked eyebrow.
I sighed, he was right. Danielle would probably kill me if she saw me in my dirty old boots.
"I wear a 10." I grumbled.
