Chapter Eleven: Day Off Pt 2

Rin's POV

I truly do love Yukio, he is very kind and mysterious as to why he loves me as well.

I sighed.

Yukio looked up from his food and looked at me."Are you okay?" He asked

I snapped out of my daze and fake smiled."Of course!" I exclaimed, picking up my fork again and continuing to eat.

Shima entered the room groggily."Breakfast? I'd love some." Shemi said, yawning and leaning over Rin while taking some of the food and eating it.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Yukio's eye twitch and Shima smirk at that.

'What's up with these two?'I asked myself.

"Make yourself your own plate and stop eating off of Rin's." Yukio growled lowly.

I flinched at his throating and hostile manner and Shima glared back while standing back up straight.

"Rin and I have been friends longer than you've known him so how do you know if it isn't unusual for Rin and I to share food?!" Shima growled angrily at Yukio.

Yukio was taken aback but only looked back down at his food in defeat.

I was so confused as I looked back and forth between the two.

"Let's go for a walk, Rin." Shima said angrily.

He grabbed my wrist and dragged me out of my seat.

"I'll come back soon, Yukio." I said, looking back at his dad figure.

"And please feed my sister, I would really appreciate it." I said, walking out the door with Shima.

Time Skip

I watched from the park bench as Shima angrily kicked a tree."That guy pisses me off!" He exclaimed, his voice shaking with anger.

I sighed."Is it because he's a detective and we shouldn't trust him?" I asked.

"Yes! That and much more!" Shima shouted.

"It's okay, I trust him. I trust him with my life." I stated.

Shima froze and turned to face me."You trust that bloody detective?" Shima asked, a hint of anger in his voice.

I flinched and his facials softened.

"Yes...... I trust him. He and trust me." I stated confidently.

"Let's go back." Shima whispered, the sun setting behind us.

I nodded softly and stood up, following Shima back to Yukio's place.

Time Skip

"Onii-chan! Yukio taught me how to play checkers! It's really fun!" Sheimi exclaimed, smiling at me as I entered the house.

I smiled softly."Thats awsome! Maybe we should play some time. But right now, you need to go rest." Rin said, picking up Sheimi and carrying her to bed.

"I love you, onii-chan." Shiemi whispered with a smile.

Rin smiled back."I love you too....." Rin said, kissing Sheimi's forehead before covering her with the blankets and heading back to the kitchen to Shima and Yukio.

"I'm going to bed." I murmured.

"Good night." Yukio and Shima said.

I nodded and crawled into bed.

Tomorrow, I have work to do in enemy territory.
