Lyndsey's POV:
So, here I am once again, sitting in my dressing room as I have my hair done. I closed my eyes as I focused on the lyrics playing through my headphones while I ignored Michelle's, my agent, instructions for the fashion shoot. I didn't want to be bothered with boring antics on how to 'wow the crowd.' I thought the point here was to walk in a straight line, pose for the cameras, then walk back gracefully to the back stage only for them to change you as fast as a Nascar Pit-Crew? I opened my eyes to stare at the reflection of myself. Sure... I was beautiful by magazine and celebrity standards. There was no doubt about that, but I wasn't really one to let it go to my head. As I stared at myself in the mirror, I could only really see one thing; a scarred girl.
"Are you listening to me? This is kind of important you know." Michelle said as she pulled out one of my ear plugs. I sighed as I looked at her through the mirror. She had a frown on her face as she pointed to her boring ass clipboard.
"What?" I simply asked. Michelle rolled her eyes as she flipped back through some pages. "You know this shit bores me Mich." I frowned as she found the correct page.
"Yeah, don't remind me. Can you please just listen? We can't really afford to mess this up." She said, fixing her glasses. I sighed once more, looking back at my hair being finished through the mirror.
"Isn't this for some stupid high school party anyway? How are they even affording this?" I asked as I stood up, ignoring the cry of the hairdresser. I rolled my eyes as I fixed my bangs the way I liked them to lay across my face.
"Actually, some student won a fashion show contest and their prize was for us to have us model their work." She said as she wrote something down. I froze for a moment before I turned around to look at her.
"Are you shitting me? Why wasn't I told I had to model some kid's outfits?" I said with anger.
"First of all, you're only like maybe a few years older than this girl, secondly, have you even seen them? This young woman is going to be a fashion icon when she graduates college." Michelle said as she walked out. "Follow me." I shook my head as I rolled my eyes, my arms crossed. As I exited the dressing room I looked at the rack before me. I raised my eyebrows in interest as I started going through the dresses. 'Damn...' Was all that came to my mind.
"You're telling me a teenager made these...?" I asked as I found a dress I loved. It was a very simple yet... eloquent summer dress. It was made with see through blue fabric, but it had a beautiful designed that covered the right places.
"Yep, now hurry up and get into makeup while I go check on Tori and Amber." I just waved my hand at her as I continued gazing through the clothes. How the fuck did a kid make these?
"This has to be a joke...." I said as I moved through the dresses. As I moved another one aside, I found myself staring at a pair of chocolate brown eyes looking at me. I moved back in shock.
"Do you not like them?" I heard the girly voice ask. I looked over the rack to see this beautiful brunette staring back at me. I raised my brow as I felt my heart beat rapidly from being scared. I watched as she walked around the clothing rack, now standing on the same side as me as she glanced at the clothes. I watched her as her glaze came back to me. "Well?"
"They're nice." I truthfully said. She raised her slender brow at me now. I raised both of mine as I stared back at her. "Who are you? Are you even allowed to be back here?" I asked, curious as to who the fuck this stranger was.
"Then why'd you say 'This has to be a joke' if you think they're nice?" She questioned me. I gave her an annoyed look, but all I got from her was a toothy smile. I didn't say anything as I stared at the shorter girl. She patted the rack as she looked around. "Not going to answer?" She asked another question.
"I said it because I can't believe a high school student created something like this. Happy?" I spoke quickly, hating the fact this girl was getting to me. She gave me a look of amusement. Who is this cocky bitch?!
"Valerie?" I heard Michelle say behind me. "What are you doing back here?"
"I was just checking on my dresses, making sure they made it here in one piece is all." This Valerie girl said as she smiled at me. My jaw dropped slightly as I stared at this cocky girl.
"Well, you should head back outside with your class. I'm sure your teacher is looking for you." Michelle said as she looked up at me now. "Didn't I tell you to get back in your dressing room for a fitting?" She said as she pushed on my shoulder. I rolled my eyes as I casted a glance at the beauty of a young designer. I watched as she walked through the curtain. Just before she disappeared, she looked over her shoulder and smiled at me.
"It was nice to meet you." She said as she disappeared from my view. I stood there shell shocked at her.
"Move it, Lyndsey." She said as she smacked my ass roughly. I yelped in pain as I rubbed my now sore ass. I turned back at her with a glare.
"Was that seriously needed?" I asked as I rubbed my ass some more.
"Yes, now get to makeup please?" She said as she pointed her finger at me then pointed two to her eyes, as if indicating that she had her eyes on me. I gave her a bored look as she laughed at her lame joke. I rolled my eyes as I walked back towards my dressing room. I looked over my shoulder to make sure she was gone. I walked over to the curtain that I watched that Valerie girl went behind. As I moved the curtain open slightly, I could see waves of teenagers. Probably hundreds of them... sitting around waiting for the show to start. I scanned the crowd for the brunette. Finally though, my eyes landed on a girl that was surrounded by other girls, seated right at the front of the runway of course. But... what had me curious was the fact that she wasn't speaking with them, but in fact drawing something in a rather large type sketch book. I creeped on though, fascinated by the loner like qualities she seemed to have. 'I wonder what she's drawing...' I thought as I continued to watch her. But... of course with no luck on my side, she lifted her head up and looked directly at me.
I freaked out of course and shut the curtain probably too fast. My heart skipped a beat as I remember those chocolate eyes bearing into mine. I grabbed my chest as I felt my heartbeat pounding. 'What the fuck? Why am I acting like I just met this famous actor?' I shook my head of the annoyance and started back to my dressing room.
"God damn you, Lyndsey..." I heard Michelle seethe out. I laughed as I rushed my ass back in.
"My bad." Was all I said as I waved at her.
