Valerie's POV:

"What if I did?" I couldn't look away from her as she spoke. I wasn't sure what to say to that... it caught me so off guard. I watched as her expression changed from one that was deadly serious to that crooked smile that more than likely was famous. "I'm just messing around with you." She added after I sat there in silence. But, as I looked at her, she was now avoiding my stare. For some reason, I had a strong gut feeling that all this flirting she had been doing wasn't her just messing around. It felt like something more... but then again what do I know? The only other relationship I had was a cheating bastard. 'It's her body language.' My brain automatically thought. I continued to look at her, noticing that she was starting to become uneasy. "Can you please stop?"

"Why?" I blurted out before I could even stop myself. She quirked her brow, turning towards me as she clicked her belt around her legs.

"Because you're making me feel very uncomfortable." She answered honestly, yet quite enough that I could barely hear her. I bit my lip, turning my head to stare out the window. "Ugh!" I heard her groan out, of course making me turn back towards her. "You just... man..."

"What do you want me to say, Lyndsey?" I asked, wishing that she'd answer this question. She rolled her eyes, grumbling to herself as she crossed her arms over her chest; looking an awful lot like a small child.

"Nothing." Was the last thing she said.

"Wow! That dress is beautiful!" I looked over my shoulder to see that I was surrounded, or should I say shoved around, by three men. They stormed Ana instantly, lifting the extremely delicate material that was barely being held together. "I wonder what inspired the artist?" I blinked, feeling irritated that they weren't even asking myself these questions. I stood there like I was nothing to them!

"Oh my, the stitching is most definitely a beautiful skill! Ma'am, who designed this?!" One of the other men asked. Ana looked to me, but all I did was shake my head. I didn't want to deal with this right now. I was on a tight schedule and they were in my way!

"Okay, come on, I need to finish." I gritted out, beyond annoyed. The men looked at me as if I was the shit on the bottom of their expensive shoes.

"And who might you be?" The taller of the three of them asked. As I was about to answer, Michele walked over, smiling at them.

"Okay, boys, why don't you go find your seats and let her get back to work?" She spoke nicely, though laced with urgency as she motioned me back to Ana. Thankfully, they left grumbling. I looked back to Ana whose dress still had a loose stitching. "Were you able to fix it?" Michele's angst demeanor was stressing me out. I looked over my shoulder to her with a look that spoke volumes. "Right..." She said, giving me a thumbs' up. "No pressure... but you have about five minutes to fix that." I sighed as I worked my magic, with what felt like everyone breathing down my neck.

"Go away!" I yelled, at my breaking point. Michelle scurried away quickly, leaving me alone with Ana.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to pop the stitching." I looked up to the beautiful red head, noticing that she was frowning as she didn't even look down to me.

"It's not your fault, I used too sensitive of material," I said honestly. Ana gave me a small smile in return.

"You're so much nicer than everyone else that works with us." She commented randomly. I looked up to her, giving her a half smile as I finally finished my work. "Wow, that looks amazing, thank you so much, Valerie." She added with a toothy smile. Michele motioned for her to come over, as she stepped down from the makeshift box she turned to me, "I'll see you later..."
