Valerie's POV:

I sat at the oversized table, my sketches spread out as I chewed on my pencil. My eyes were focused on the empty drawing pad that rested upon my knees. As a new song changed on my iPod, I smiled as an idea sprang to life, I adjusted my hand on the paper as I drew another gown.

"Wow..." I heard a feminine voice, but I didn't bother looking up at it as I continued my etching. "These are beautiful..." the voice appeared once again, "How are you able to create such pieces in such a short amount of time?" I felt Lyndsey poke my thigh, causing me to take a glance up to her. She smiled as she nodded her head towards the woman that was seated across from us. I gave her a smile as I recognized her from the show they hosted for me. I pushed my glasses onto my head as I pulled out my ear buds.

"I'm not entirely sure to be honest with you..." I laughed lightly as I sat up properly, "When something comes to me, I draw it." I explained with a small smile, placing the drawing pad down onto the table as I continued to draw. I took a look at Lyndsey for a moment, earning a smile from her. Michelle looked at the two of us and smiled brightly.

"Well.... I must say... for such a young woman, you have an unbelievable talent. Most people your age or even older take much longer to develop the skill that comes so..." She paused for a moment, causing me to take a look up at her to see her looking to the ceiling then down to me once more, "Naturally. I guess would be the most appropriate word. How much?" I furrowed my brows for a moment as I looked back up to her, confused.

"I'm sorry?" I asked, obvious confusion laced in my words. My cheeks flushed a light shade of red as they laughed in unison.

"She's asking how much you're wanting for the drawings." Lyndsey smiled as she leaned towards me. I rolled my eyes at my own stupidity.

"Oh.... Right.. Uhm well..." I started as I chewed on the inside of my cheek, "whatever it is you think they're worth I guess?" I said with a sheepish shrug of my shoulders. Michelle was about to speak when a woman burst through the door, startling everyone.

"Morgan..." Michelle greeted as she stood up quickly.

"This is the girl?" She said in an icy voice as she bore her eyes towards me. I frowned as Michelle introduced me. "She's rather... young."

"Well... yes but take a look at her work." Brian spoke up as he scooped up the etchings before handing them over to her. I looked at Lyndsey for a moment as she sighed.

"Hm..." was all the woman muttered as she went through each one of them. I felt as if my work was under a very large magnifying glass... The older woman looked up at me periodically as she inspected my work, making strange sounds as she did so. "Michelle, why are hiring a fashion student?" The woman said more than asked. Michelle looked back to me and Lyndsey for a moment before looking at Morgan.

"Well... you tol-," Michelle was interrupted.

"Need I remind you that you only have a few more days to get your project in for this months issue?" Morgan said as she glared at Michelle. "This is the big league, Michelle. Our company is hired from designers all around the world to represent their image. We own International Glamour Magazine and I need someone who can showcase our models properly so more designers sign on with us." She said with an icy glare, "Your job was to find me a designer to help showcase us. Now tell me...." She said as she pulled off her glasses, putting the ear piece on her lip, "How do you expect me to let you showcase our models with an Amateur, young, fashion student?"

"With all do respect Morgan..." Michelle started as she pointed towards me, "I believe this young lady has more talent at her age than I've ever seen any showcase designer in all my years in this industry..." Michelle argued. I looked between the two of them as they shared a staring contest. The tension was spreading through the room rapidly. I furrowed my brows as they continued to argue. Lyndsey's agent seemed to be losing the battle. So I shook my head, grabbed my sketch pad and bag and stood up. I walked around the table and headed for the door.
