Lyndsey's POV:

"Will you hold still?" I looked down to see an irritated Valerie, working swiftly on the exposed side of her stitching. "My god... You're like a small Child, Lyndsey." She teased. Standing up in front of me now. I rolled my eyes at her little insult.

"I would love to see you stand in the same position for over an hour and not squirm." I teased back, cracking my knuckles. Valerie gave me a nonchalant expression as she walked over to her desk, looking at the many colors of thread.

"Yeah... well...." She stopped at the sound of her phone going off. "Ugh..." She groaned as she looked down at her phone, flipping it over so that she didn't have to look at it. I rose my brow in curiosity.

"Who is it?" I pryed, letting my curiosity get the best of me now. She looked up to me, offering me a sheepish grin. That of course, had my brain rattling as to why she looked so uncomfortable suddenly. "Val?" She didn't answer me, though, shifting through threads. I was getting somewhat annoyed at this point. She walked back over to me, demanding for me to turn. As I listened, she kneeled to my side once more. "Valerie?" I asked once again. I caught her eyes for a moment.

"Yes?' Her voice was gentle, but with a hint of something I couldn't peg.

"What's the matter?" I asked, watching as she sighed deeply. She didn't look to me as she continued with her work.

"Do you remember Kingsley?" She asked, not moving her eyes from her task. I recalled the name from her ex-girlfriend, whom we saw that night we went to the movies with Autumn and Rylee.

"Yeah, what about her?" My voice probably sounded bitchy. Valerie looked up for a second before focusing back to her work.

"She just keeps calling me. Apparently, "She began to laugh, but the type of laugh that was in disbelief, "Her and her girlfriend broke up. She said when she saw me with you..." Her eyes fluttered up to me for a second as she spoke, "That it stirred old feelings she had for me." I watched her eyes roll, causing me to look away from her. I felt out of place as she continued, "We talked, but she kept trying to get me back. I laughed and said hell no, not in a million years." The knot that grew in my throat was annoying me at this point, "Besides..." She whispered, her eyes looking glassed over now, "She hurt me when I was at my worst; why would I ever give her another chance?"

"That girl rubbed me the wrong way." I frowned, looking to Valerie to see a confusing expression on her, "So... you're not getting back with her then?" I questioned, needing some sort of verification for some reason. She gave me a smile, though, stopping for a moment.

"Not in this lifetime or the next thousand lifetimes." As I looked down to her, our eyes didn't waiver from each other. It as if we were having a silent conversation at that point. "I promised myself to never fall for someone like her ever again." I clenched my jaw once she finished. 'You're basically like Kingsley... wait...' I shook my head of those thoughts, though, wondering why that even mattered at all. "Well," She said, stretching as she rose to her feet, "I think I've finally completed it." She sighed in contentment. She winced slightly, her hand moving to the side of her neck as she rubbed out was probably a kink. "I'm impressed with my handy work with this one..." As I looked away from her, I noted how the dress looked in the mirror before me. It was indeed impressive to look at.

"It looks beautiful; you did a lovely job on it." I smiled, noticing the blush that crept upon her cheeks. "Are your nervous about the plane ride?"

"Fuck... I totally forgot about that..." She groaned, walking over to her desk and plopping down in her chair.

"I thought you were from Canada?" I asked, undoing the zipper behind me. "Did you not take a plane here?" I asked, sliding out of the dress. I stood in just my underwear and bra, my back turned towards Valerie. When I heard a sharp intake of breath, I looked over my shoulder slightly to see that Valerie had indeed checked me out. I couldn't help but smile at this as I hung the dress up. She must not have noticed that I had caught her gawking at me because she didn't look away from me. So, I decided to mess with her a bit. I bent over slightly, picking up my jeans off the floor. I could hear a slight groan, making my ego fly off the walls.
