Grayson's POV
"So can we go now?" I ask Officer Joseph. We've both been sitting on a bench near the entrance of the building, waiting for Skylar to come back. It's still pretty early in the day, and I want to take her somewhere, opposed to being in a police station all day.
"I don't know, can you?" he replies smirking. I hate when people say that. Like I really don't care about my grammar, I just want to leave.
"May we leave?" I try again. I feel a soft tap brush against my shoulder. I turn around see the most beautiful girl ever.
"Hey Skylar," I say with coy as she grabs my hand. I stand up beside her.
"You guys can go," Officer Joseph speaks with a chuckle. "I'll drive you home."
Ethan's POV
Cameron and I were both extremely hungry, so we decided to go to subway for lunch. While I'm driving, Cameron starts talking about Skylar... again.
"I love her dude. Everything about her is just so perfect and beautiful," Cameron explains to me while staring at the ceiling. We've been having this conversation about Skylar over and over again for the past few days.
"But you have to get over her eventually," I tell him gently.
"That's the issue, I can't get over her. Like I've been trying to, but I'm in love with her. And when kissed me...it was amazing."
"I think the only way to get over her is to find someone better."
"But there isn't anyone better," he responds do quietly I can barely hear. "Sorry I keep bringing her up. She's just the only thing I can think about."
"It's okay. I know how you feel." I remember when I used to like Brooklyn, but that lasted for about a day. Now we're just friends, but we don't really talk that much. It feels kinda good to not like anyone. But I also wish I had a girlfriend to compliment and take on dates and stuff like that.
We arrive at the destination and exit the car. As soon as we step foot in the building, I see a dangerously attractive girl at the counter. She has shoulder length light ombré hair, and hazel green eyes. She's the perfect height, perfectly shaped body, perfect smile.
"See, there's a potential girl right there. Go talk to her," I whisper to Cameron as we walk closer to the counter to order.
"No," he responds blankly.
"Hey guys! Welcome to Subway, my name is Denice. What can I get you?"
We both order the Oven Roasted Chicken sandwich then sit down to eat.
"So you seriously don't like her?" I ask once more.
"Nope," he replies happily while grabbing his phone. He takes a selfie on Snapchat, then bites into his sandwich.
"Dude," Cameron mumbles while still eating. "Look at this."
He shows me his phone and it's a picture some random guy I've never seen before. "Who is that?"
"Skylar's dad."
"Who sent it to you?" I ask staring at the picture.
"Grayson," he replies turning his phone so it's facing him again.
"How'd Grayson get the pic?"
"I don't know. It's just weird how much she doesn't look like him."
He's right, they don't like alike at all. I don't think that's really her father. Like there's not a resemblance anywhere.
"Are you 100% sure that's her dad?" I question before continuing to eat my sandwich.
"Yeah, I think. Unless he's not who he says he is," he answers calmly like it's nothing. But I think it's creepy. What if he's some random man who's just been stalking her her entire life? It's scary to think about.
"Where is he?"
"I'm not sure, but I hope he's at a police station or someth-" he stops when two people approach our table. It's the police.
