I am not religious
Yet I believe in demons
I have faced my own
And sometimes they have won
And I live each day with them
Whispering, whispering
Whispering in my ears
For demons without horns
Aren't any less real

I am not religious
Yet I believe in angels
At 23 I've walked with them
Talked and laughed and danced with them
Hugged them
Been held by them while in tears
Asked for their advice
They may not sit on my shoulders
But they certainly look over mine nonetheless
For what are friends but angels
And wings their warm arms?

(AN: The title is still in progress. I haven't found something I really liked or felt properly fit. In any case, I've been largely absent - life got away from me again, and I quite forgot this existed. I return to my committment of expressing myself via providing poetry.)
