A flash out of darkness
and so does her blade fall
painting all around her red
Above her a leaf drifts to rest
on her shoulder
light as her feet on which she runs
                              She looks up and sees
a tree of amber
changing clothes for winter
from green to brown
                              It's but a slow death
almost in mockery
of the swift killings she delivers
