I never wanted to fall as I did
But I fell indeed 
Slowly and gradually 
With your smile and laugh 
Your kindness and words 
And the safety you instilled 
And for that I thank you everyday 
For your friendship and bright company

I guess that's what happens when you form a deep and genuine affection for someone - you end up wanting to immortalise them with words so you remember them forever. At least, that's what I want: To never forget you, and I don't think I ever will.
